Hedra AI pricing

By Alexandre S. Published Prices checked What changed

Basic is Hedra’s cheapest paid plan: $20 a month for 2,000 credits, checked (official pricing page). Hedra’s Character-3 model page lists 5 cents a second at 720p beside its API link, so a 30-second clip lists at $1.50 there. Every paid card says “Commercial use”; Hedra’s 2024 terms PDF bars ads without its prior written consent, and its live terms are silent.

Hedra plans read on its official pricing page on . Prices in USD. No yearly price is published.

What one Hedra talking clip costs

Method: the Character-3 model page’s price a second for each resolution, times the clip’s length (model page, read 2 October 2026). Hedra bills by generated length: “if you generate a 10 second video with Character-3, you’ll only be charged for 10 seconds of video and not for a full minute” (pricing FAQ).

Character-3 clip prices from Hedra’s model page, read 2 Oct 2026; Hedra does not publish plan credits a second
Resolution Per second (USD) 30-second clip (USD) 15-second clip (USD)
540p $0.025 $0.75 $0.38
720p $0.05 $1.50 $0.75
1080p $0.0625 $1.88 $0.94

The model page lists these under “Pricing”, beside a link to the Character-3 API on Hedra’s developer platform. Neither it nor the pricing FAQ says how many plan credits a Character-3 second uses. So a clip’s cost on Basic, Pro, Ultra or Teams is not published.

What the plans do publish is the price of a credit. It falls from $0.01 on Basic to $0.0069 on Pro and $0.0056 on Ultra, if every credit is used (pricing page). Teams lands at $0.0052.

Does “Commercial use” cover ads?

Not legal advice This section quotes Hedra’s Terms of Use and its pricing page and reads them as a buyer would. What they mean for your account is a question for Hedra or a lawyer.

The live terms say nothing on ads; Hedra’s 2024 terms PDF bars them without its written consent. The live Terms of Use, last updated 4 September 2026, cut 3.6 to one sentence and carry no PDF link.

The PDF, last updated 25 October 2024 and still served at its address, bars output that “involves commercial activities and/or sales, such as contests, sweepstakes, barter, advertising, or pyramid schemes without Hedra’s prior written consent” (3.6(F); terms PDF).

The terms page linked it as Download Terms of Use until the 4 September update (Wayback capture of 31 August 2026). The live entire-agreement clause, 15.10, leaves open whether 3.6(F) still applies.

The PDF’s same list, 3.6(D), bars output that “contains any personal information related to any individual other than yourself”, which the PDF extends to photos, videos and audio of other people. Readers animating a still of a real person read that item beside 3.6(F).

The Acceptable Use Policy (31 July 2024) has no advertising clause. Hedra’s written answer is the one record of whether a clip may run as an ad. The rights matrix and the Hedra profile set out the clauses by plan.

Is there a free plan or trial?

The pricing page names a free plan in its title, “Free Plan, No Credit Card”, but shows no free card, allowance or trial (pricing page, read 2 October 2026).

After cancelling, the FAQ says you “lose access to most functionality of the platform, apart from limited watermarked generations”.

Costs the plan card leaves out

Monthly credits do not roll over: “Credits from your monthly subscription do not carry over between billing cycles” (pricing FAQ). Credit packs do not expire. But after cancelling, “You’ll need to resubscribe to use any non-expiring credits remaining on your account.”

Ultra’s card adds “Allowances up to 57,600 credits/month”, 3.2 times its 18,000, with no price for the extra.

Users report the costs around failed work: failed or off-brief generations still use credits, and credits back are rare (11 of 45 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot). Users also report auto-renewals and refunds refused, even for an unused period (11 of 45 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).

Users also report that entry plans buy only a few minutes of video and that monthly credits expire (8 of 45 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).

Hedra’s API pricing

The Character-3 model page links “the Hedra Character 3 API on the Hedra Developer Platform” directly under its per-second prices (model page). Those are the only Character-3 prices Hedra publishes: $0.025 to $0.0625 a second. Enterprise adds private deployments at a price agreed with sales.

Hedra replaced its three plans on 23 September 2026. Price pages that still list Basic with 1,500 credits describe the plans before that date.

Basic $15 1,500 Basic $20 2,000

The old Professional’s price and credits now belong to Teams.

Work out your own cost

Take the model page’s price a second for your resolution and multiply by your clip’s length: 30 seconds at 1080p lists at $1.88. The cost per AI ad calculator then adds hook variants and the share of takes you keep.

Alternatives and comparisons

HeyGen pricing publishes a cost per avatar ad on each plan, and its terms cover ads on paid plans. Hedra alternatives lists other talking-character tools, and the Hedra vs HeyGen comparison sets the two side by side.
