Anthropic moves its IPO towards mid November
Bloomberg reports a listing before Thanksgiving and an investor day on 14 October, with prospective investors talking of up to $2 trillion.
Anthropic is aiming to start trading before the US Thanksgiving holiday on 26 November, with formal marketing from the week of 9 November, Bloomberg reported on Thursday 1 October 2026, according to PYMNTS. Reuters had reported on 5 September that marketing could start in mid October.
The company holds an investor day on 14 October ahead of the listing, Investing.com reports, citing Bloomberg. Prospective investors talk of a valuation between $1.8 trillion and $2 trillion, and the later date lets Anthropic show its third-quarter results first, according to PYMNTS.
The new timetable follows the draft prospectus we covered on 29 September, which showed 2025 revenue of about $4.6 billion against an $8 billion operating loss. A listing as early as mid November would put Anthropic on the market ahead of rival OpenAI, Yahoo Finance notes. Anthropic did not immediately reply to PYMNTS’ request for comment.
For companies that build on Claude, a public Anthropic means quarterly reporting on revenue, compute costs and pricing. Those filings become the clearest public view of what its models cost to run.
