Creatify for UGC ads

By Alexander Bleu Updated Prices checked What changed

Verdict on Creatify

On paper, Creatify suits avatar ads cut to multiples of 15 seconds, the unit it bills in. Starter at $39 a month, read on , works out at $3.90 per video for a 30-second ad, if every credit is used. But a 31-second cut bills as 45 seconds, and Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone credits “cannot be determined upfront”.

What Creatify makes for ads

Creatify turns a product link or a script into an avatar video ad. Its URL-to-video page shows the vendor’s own example ads, and the FAQ names Amazon, Shopify and App Store links as supported sources.

Its avatars default to Aurora, Creatify’s own model, and the Avatar Video tool also offers Boreal (Aurora article, updated 10 May 2026). The help centre gives Avatar Video one rate, in the table below, with no split by model.

The API sells its own credits and bills Aurora at 1 credit a second (API billing docs). Creatify pricing finds the API never cheaper than the app for full Aurora, where both could be priced.

Starter lists 300 AI actors, videos up to 2 minutes and one generation at a time. Pro lists 1,500 actors, 3 custom avatars, videos up to 10 minutes and up to 5 generations in parallel. Pro also adds a competitor ad tracker, Ad Clone and the Performance Agent.

Tools that find competitors’ ads, priced by plan: AI creative testing tools.

The pricing page’s plan comparison lists the Performance Agent and an Ad Launcher for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. The version we could read did not say which plans include the launcher (pricing page).

Two of Creatify’s own pages disagree on languages: the pricing page says “75+ Languages”, while the FAQ, updated 20 September 2026, names 29. The same FAQ says AI Shorts, Product Video and Video Translation left the dashboard at the end of May 2026. They now open only from direct links.

What a Creatify ad costs

Creatify bills avatar video at 5 credits per 15 seconds, rounded up (help centre, updated 19 August 2026). So a 16-second ad costs as much as a 30-second one. For most tools, the help centre adds, “the platform will display the exact cost before you hit render”; Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone are the exceptions.

On Starter at $39 a month (pricing page), the 30-second row works out at $3.90 per video, if every credit is used. That is $0.39 a credit, at prices read on . Pro at $99 a month for 300 credits brings the same ad to $3.30, again if every credit is used.

Watch out Trim to 30 seconds before rendering: a 31-second cut uses 15 credits instead of 10. On Starter a revision adds 3 credits per 15 seconds, so one reworked 30-second ad uses 16. Pro revises for free if the script, avatar and voice stay the same (help centre).

For Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone, the help centre says credit consumption “is variable and cannot be determined upfront”. The same article adds that Ad Clone “redirects to the Agent tool and follows the same credit rules”.

Yet the FAQ, the newer page (updated 20 September 2026), prices Ad Clone at 1 credit a second. A 30-second clone would then use 30 credits, three times an avatar ad. We could not tell which page applies.

Monthly credits are “valid for two months” (FAQ), so on our reading a month’s unused credits last one extra month and then lapse. The Creatify pricing page prices every plan and ad length and shows the method. The price tracker sets Creatify against other tools.

Before paying, Creatify’s free plan gives 10 credits: two watermarked avatar videos of 15 seconds or less (Free Plan, updated 19 August 2026). Ad Flow and Agent cannot finish a video on them. The FAQ says the free plan refills 5 credits a month, where the Free Plan article says 10; which applies is unclear.

What Creatify’s terms allow in paid ads

Not legal advice This page quotes Creatify’s terms, effective 23 September 2024, and its undated Moderation Policy, and reads them as an ad buyer would. Ask a lawyer before you rely on any reading here.

Creatify’s terms, effective 23 September 2024, say you own your original content in the videos. Creatify assigns you any copyright it may have in that content, under two restrictions (s.6.2). You may not use it to train AI, and every use stays subject to the Moderation Policy.

Breaking either restriction “shall result in the immediate termination of this Agreement, and all rights granted to you shall revert to Creatify. You must immediately cease all use of the Assets” (s.6.2).

Section 6.1 makes the policy part of the licence: “any failure to comply with the Moderation Policy will be deemed a breach of the licenses granted under these Terms”. The FAQ’s line “You can use them in any channel without limitations” leaves out both s.6.2 restrictions.

The undated Moderation Policy bans “Unauthorized legal, medical, or financial advice”, “Political campaigning or direct lobbying” and “Fraudulent, deceptive practices, including scams, spam, or intellectual property violations”. Its last item reaches “Any other content Creatify deems inappropriate or contrary to our values”, and changes are “effective immediately upon posting”.

Ad Clone invites you to “Upload any video ad”, yours or “a competitor’s”. The same page answers “Is it legal to clone competitor ads?” by saying the tool “doesn’t copy content” and analyses “structure (hook style, pacing, CTA flow)”.

On our reading, a live Creatify ad stays usable only while it complies with a policy Creatify can reword at any time. Health, supplement and finance advertisers sit closest to the advice ban. A close copy of a rival’s ad could still fall under its ban on “intellectual property violations”.

In the AI commercial use matrix, paid ads read allowed with conditions on Starter, Pro and Enterprise, and unclear on Free.

Is Creatify legit? What its documents, Trustpilot and Reddit show

Creatify’s terms allow refunds only where the law requires, and half of its 20 latest Trustpilot reviews want money back.

Creatify’s terms say “Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law”, including after you cancel (s.4). The refund policy, updated 23 August 2026, repeats that “payments are final and non-refundable”.

Creatify’s homepage says it has raised $24,000,000 from investors including WndrCo, Kindred Ventures, NFDG and Comcast Ventures. Its copyright line names the company Creatify Lab. The terms fall under California law, with disputes in San Francisco courts (s.8.4).

The homepage also links an independent auditor’s SOC 2 Type 2 report, signed 22 September 2025. In the auditor’s opinion, Creatify’s security controls “operated effectively” from 15 June to 15 September 2025, if the cloud host’s own controls, which it did not examine, worked as assumed. The report covered security only. No newer report was linked on 26 September 2026.

Creatify’s undated privacy policy says “Creatify never sells personal data”.

To cancel, the help centre lists nine steps, including a note of at least 20 characters and a free-month offer to decline. The plan and its credits run to the end of the billing period.

Three review sites put Creatify between 3.9 and 4.8 on their five-point scales.

Trustpilot’s page showed 77% of its 832 reviews at five stars and 17% at one star on 26 September 2026. We read the 20 most recent, posted from 3 July to 20 September 2026 (what a research edition covers), and 18 give one star.

Refund requests and disputed charges come up most, in 10 of the 20. A review can raise more than one issue. Two reviews match the documents above: one warns against the free-month offer made during cancellation, and another says Ad Flow and Agent “Eat up all your credits”.

On Reddit, r/FacebookAds holds seven posts since January 2025 with Creatify in the title (Arctic Shift archive, read 24 September 2026). Three are complaints (February 2025, August 2025, June 2026). Two describe using it (January 2026, May 2026) and two ask questions (March 2025, November 2025).

The June 2026 complaint says one 4:59 lip-sync video “used all 100 credits”. If lip-sync bills at the avatar rate, the 15-second rule gives exactly that: 20 blocks of 5 credits. The post names Starter, which the pricing page caps at 2-minute videos, so which tool made it is unclear.

How Arcads and HeyGen bill against Creatify

Arcads and HeyGen, two other avatar tools in our database, price talking video per minute, where Creatify bills per 15 seconds.

Arcads bills 800 credits a minute per actor, and “Length is always rounded up” (help centre). If each started minute bills whole, as we read it, a 31-second ad bills as a full minute. Ads just under a minute waste least. Arcads publishes no price list: see Arcads for ads.

HeyGen charges 4 to 48 credits a minute by avatar model and publishes no rounding rule (help centre). On Creator at $29 a month (pricing page), a 30-second video costs $0.10 on its cheapest model, if every credit is used. That assumes half a minute bills as half, which HeyGen does not state.

Billed as a whole minute, the same video would cost $0.19, again if every credit is used. Avatar V, at 48 credits a minute, puts half a minute at $1.16. See HeyGen for ads.

On our reading, HeyGen’s free plan cannot make a live ad: its terms, last updated 23 July 2026, bar free-plan output from “advertising” (s.4).
