Method

AI credits needed = (Ad length in seconds ÷ Block length, rounded up) × Credits per block × Ads a month ÷ (Keep rate ÷ 100). AI cost a month = the larger of Monthly price and AI credits needed × Monthly price ÷ Credits a month. AI cost per ad = AI cost a month ÷ Ads a month. Creator cost a month = Ads a month × Creator cost per video + Creator extras a month. Creator cost per ad = Creator cost a month ÷ Ads a month.

With the starting numbers: (30 ÷ 15, rounded up) × 5 × 10 ÷ (100 ÷ 100) = 100; the larger of $39 and 100 × $39 ÷ 100 = $39.00; $39.00 ÷ 10 = $3.90; 10 × $280 + $0 = $2,800.00; $2,800.00 ÷ 10 = $280.00.

Prices read on the vendors’ own pages between 1 Oct 2026 and 2 Oct 2026. Each preset takes its plan’s monthly price from the vendor’s pricing page and its billing rule from the source listed below. The creator cost starts at an AI UGC agency’s reported average cost per creative (it sells AI UGC), and the other inputs are your own numbers.

Two assumptions sit inside the AI formula. Credits beyond the plan cost the plan’s own rate, though top-up packs can be priced differently, and one month of the plan is the floor. The default creator cost may already include what the extras field adds. Keep extras at 0 with the default, or replace both with your own quote.

Where the default creator fee comes from

The starting fee comes from the r/UGCcreators post that is row R3 on our register of AI and human UGC comparisons. The owner of an AI UGC agency posted it on 30 April 2026. Across three clients and six weeks, a human creative cost $280 on average and an AI one $12.

It sits inside the published ranges, which run from $50 for a beginner to $3,000 or more for premium work in Insense’s rate guide. Our UGC creator rates guide sets each source side by side with what its figure includes.

A creator’s rate moves with the niche, the editing asked for, hooks per video and the usage term. Use the quote you hold.

What the creator fee leaves out

Marketplaces bill the brand on top of the creator. Each self-serve plan on Insense’s pricing page reads “Creator payments are not covered and must be budgeted separately”. Insense also adds 7 to 20 per cent to each creator payment (read 2 October 2026).

SideShift states “Your subscription covers the software. Creator payments, paid-ad spend and optional Managed services are separate.”

Paid usage is a second line: the UGC creator rates guide lists which sources price paid usage and whitelisting (ads run from the creator’s own handle) apart. Ask for the usage term in the quote.

Reshoots and revisions are the third. A rate card that includes one round of edits leaves a second round to negotiation.

The extras field takes all of this as one monthly sum. Put the platform plan, the marketplace fee on your creator spend and any usage add-on there. It starts at 0, so the default result shows the creator fee alone.

What the AI cost leaves out

Takes you throw away. The keep rate divides the credits needed, so 50 per cent of takes kept doubles the AI cost for the same number of finished ads.

Billing blocks. Creatify bills avatar video in 15-second blocks, rounded up, and D-ID rounds each video to the next 15 seconds, so a 20-second ad bills as 30. Set the length to 20 to see the step.

Credits that lapse. Creatify credits last two months (credit article), and the price tracker shows which plans reset monthly. Below the plan’s allowance, the result already charges the full monthly price.

Your own time. Scripts, prompts and review take hours the calculator does not price, on both sides.

Rights. A cheap plan is no use if its terms bar paid ads. The rights matrix shows which plans allow outputs in paid ads, with the clause for each.

How to read the result

Read the per-ad figures against what each ad must earn back.

On the register’s figures, media costs more than production: a conversion test needs about 20,140 clicks across both sides (AI UGC vs human UGC). A creative test needs enough conversions per variant to trust its result, and the creative testing budget calculator sizes that spend from your cost per purchase.

Cost is the only output here. Published side-by-side results sit in our AI UGC vs human UGC register. On 2 October 2026, six of its nine comparisons put human UGC ahead per ad on click-through or conversion.
