What Magnific makes for ads, and is it Freepik?

Magnific is Freepik’s AI suite under a new name: freepik.com/pricing answers with a permanent redirect to magnific.com/pricing, whose title reads “Magnific (formerly Freepik)”. One subscription covers other makers’ image and video models, Google’s Veo and Nano Banana among them. It adds Magnific’s own upscalers and a stock library of “250M+ photos, videos, vectors & PSDs”.

For ad work that means stills from Nano Banana or Flux and clips from Kling, Seedance or Veo. Voice-over spends the same credits, while stock downloads sit outside them, unlimited on Premium and above (pricing FAQ). The plan cards list “Spaces: shared canvas, built for workflows”.

The older magnific.ai upscaler is a separate product: the pricing page sends its users to “the legacy service”.

The Terms of Use, dated June 2026, name the operator as Magnific AI, S.L.U.; the pricing page footer still reads Freepik Company S.L.U.

What Magnific costs in US dollars

Magnific’s annual billing cuts the monthly price by 20 to 27.5 per cent, and credits the whole year on day one. The figures below come from the plan data in the pricing page’s source, read 6 October 2026, before VAT and local taxes.

Magnific plans, USD, before tax
Plan Monthly billing, a month Annual billing, a year Annual, a month Credits a year
Premium $20 $174 $14.50 240,000
Premium+ $45 $405 $33.75 600,000
Pro Starter $110 $990 $82.50 1,500,000
Pro, 4M credits $280 $2,520 $210 4,000,000
Business, 2 seats $138 $1,320 $110 1,080,000

Monthly plans get a set amount each month (20,000 on Premium, 45,000 on Premium+), reset every month; annual credits reset once a year (pricing FAQ). The Business card counts its credits “total for the team”. Terms s.9.1 say unused credits “will not be transferred to the next billing period”, and that credit costs can change “at any time” without notice.

Extra credits roll over and expire after three years, but they are cancelled with no refund if you drop to a free account (s.9.2.3).

What an ad clip costs in Magnific credits

Magnific’s credit table prices each video model by a clip of the length shown beside it, and each image model per image. The table below picks five models an ad team reaches for, each at the setting the page prices.

Credits per output on Magnific, with the USD cost if every credit is used
Model and setting Credits Annual Premium Monthly Premium
Kling 3.0 Pro, 1080p, 5 s 450 $0.33 $0.45
Seedance 2.5, 720p, 4 s 1,760 $1.28 $1.76
Google Veo 3.1, 4K with audio, 4 s 2,080 $1.51 $2.08
MiniMax H3 Max Turbo, 768p, 5 s 200 $0.15 $0.20
Nano Banana 2, 4K, one image 150 $0.11 $0.15

Scroll sideways for all 4 columns

Method: the plan’s price divided by its credits, times the model’s credit cost, so each figure assumes every credit is spent. The rates come from the pricing page’s comparison table.

The same table marks Kling 2.5 at 720p and MiniMax Hailuo 2.3 Fast as “Unlimited” on Premium+ and above, so those clips spend no credits there.

What “Unlimited” covers on Magnific

On Magnific, “Unlimited” means selected models spend no credits on Premium+, Business and Pro, in the web app. API calls always spend credits (API pricing).

Magnific’s pricing FAQ, read 6 October 2026, moves six image models out of Unlimited on Premium+ and Business. Nano Banana Pro (1K and 2K) and Nano Banana 2 (2K) are among them, with two Flux.2 and two GPT Image models.

New buyers of those plans pay credits for them “from day one”; existing ones keep them until their next renewal. Nano Banana 2 at 1K stays Unlimited on Premium+, and Nano Banana Pro stays Unlimited on the 4M option.

Magnific’s FAQ says Unlimited includes a priority allowance each cycle: “Once it runs out, generations run one at a time, and speed varies with demand and volume.” Unlimited is “intended for individual use and subject to our Acceptable Use Policy”.

Users report throttled Unlimited jobs and a withdrawn unlimited model (4 of 64 sources: Trustpilot, Reddit).

Who owns Magnific output in a paid ad

Magnific assigns subscribers ownership of output “provided that their Subscription remains active at the time of generation of the Output” (AI Products Terms s.7, June 2026). A clip made while you pay stays yours after you cancel; a clip made after the plan lapses gets the free licence.

That free licence is “personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable”, for use “exclusively for personal and non-commercial purposes” (s.7). So no output from a free account can run in an ad.

Section 6 bars using output to “Deceive any person into believing that the Output was created by a human”. An AI actor presented as a real customer in a UGC ad breaks it.

Section 14.2 asks you to “clearly and visibly disclose” content that “may reasonably be perceived as, a deepfake”, citing Article 50(4) of the EU AI Act. Section 5 makes you warrant consent from “any person whose image, voice, identity, or other personal data appears in the Input”.

Section 3 folds each third-party model maker’s terms into yours, so a Kling or Veo clip also answers to that maker’s rules.

Section 9 says Magnific “will not use Inputs … or Outputs to train its own AI models”. Higgsfield’s terms (s.4.4) allow training on both outside an Enterprise Agreement.

The IP indemnity in the Terms of Use (s.6.2) covers stock content and “shall not be applicable to any content generated using the Company’s AI Products”. The Business card lists “Basic legal indemnification for AI content”, up to $50,000.

The ElevenLabs music tool is closed to businesses in six restricted sectors, from firearms to political campaigns (s.13).

Is Magnific legit and safe?

Magnific is legit: Magnific AI, S.L.U. operates it under terms dated June 2026, with a 30-day refund guarantee. Billing is the risk 11 of 64 user sources report.

Trustpilot showed 3,213 reviews at 4.0 on 2 October 2026, under a notice that the profile merges other Trustpilot profiles, so Freepik-era reviews count there. Across 64 public sources (56 Trustpilot reviews, 7 Reddit threads and 1 Product Hunt review), the complaints run as follows.

One reviewer writes that an “annual renewal plan was changed to premium+ without our consent or request”. Under s.9.2.1 an upgrade takes effect at once, at the full new price.

Section 9.1 says “no right of withdrawal applies” to digital content unless Magnific indicates otherwise. The pricing page offers a “30-day refund guarantee”.

Who Magnific suits, and the alternatives

Magnific fits a team that buys stock anyway and wants Kling, Veo and Nano Banana on one yearly credit pool. Its terms rule out training on your uploads and outputs (s.9). Pay annually only if you can use the year’s credits, since they reset at renewal.

Look elsewhere if a billing error would stall your account: billing errors lead user complaints (11 of 64) and slow support follows (9).

Higgsfield resells many of the same models on one balance, with its own Marketing Studio ad templates (Higgsfield profile). Its terms (s.4.4) allow training on your inputs and outputs, which Magnific’s s.9 rules out. Higgsfield vs Magnific sets the two side by side on training and refunds.

Questions buyers ask about Magnific

Is Magnific the same as Freepik?

Yes. Freepik’s pricing page now redirects to magnific.com, which titles itself “Magnific (formerly Freepik)” and keeps the stock library. The old magnific.ai upscaler runs on as a separate “legacy service”.

Does Magnific have a free plan for ads?

A free account exists, but its output licence is “exclusively for personal and non-commercial purposes” (AI Products Terms s.7), so no free output can run in an ad. Free accounts get 10 stock downloads a day (pricing FAQ).

Is Magnific worth it for ads?

For a team that wants stock and many models on one bill and can spend its credits, yes. Users split: 8 of 64 sources praise the price for what one plan bundles (Trustpilot, Product Hunt), and 11 report billing errors (Trustpilot).
