ChatGPT gets GPT-6 and answers with charts and buttons

OpenAI’s Intelligent UI lets ChatGPT build diagrams, forms and small tools inside its replies, on every tier.

OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 in ChatGPT on Wednesday 7 October 2026, together with a feature it calls Intelligent UI, TechCrunch reports. Answers can now mix text with diagrams, interactive charts, tappable buttons, forms and small working tools.

OpenAI’s examples include a bicycle diagram whose parts light up on tap, a savings calculator and a bill splitter, The Verge reports. The company says it trained GPT-6 to decide when a visual beats plain text, and that the model searches the web better and shows partial answers while it works. Users who want fewer visuals can turn them down.

Paid Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts get GPT-6 Sol first. Free and Go accounts follow with GPT-6 Luna, which Engadget notes is the less capable of the two. TechCrunch puts the free rollout on Thursday 8 October. OpenAI says the goal is to make complex topics easier to learn.

For marketers, the change alters what a ChatGPT answer looks like: OpenAI’s own examples put interactive tables, forms and calculators beside the text, and users can turn the visuals down.
