Meta’s Style Sketch app uses AI to style the clothes you own
The quiet launch builds a virtual wardrobe from Instagram photos, and a second new Meta app, Waddle World, gives children an AI pet.
Meta has released Style Sketch, an app that uses AI to put together outfits from clothes you already own, TechCrunch reported on 29 October 2026. Your Instagram posts supply the pictures of your clothes, and you can add more by shooting a photo or short video or picking images from your phone. It then suggests combinations, can build looks around one chosen item, plans outfits for a trip by weather and activity, and shows them on a lifelike figure with your build and skin tone. It is out on iOS and Android in three South-East Asian countries, Indonesia and Singapore among them. Meta did not answer TechCrunch’s questions.
A second app arrived the same week. Waddle World, for children, is a 16-bit pet game in which an AI pet remembers what a child tells it, and its iOS listing says it collects location, contact details and a user ID, Social Media Today reports. It is available only in the Philippines. Social Media Today links both launches to Meta’s internal trials of having its own AI models write app code, which lets it ship apps faster. Social media consultant Matt Navarra spotted Style Sketch first and also reported Waddle World.
Our census of AI ad figures holds Meta’s own counts of advertisers using its AI creative tools: more than 8 million in the first quarter of 2026 and nearly 10 million in the third.
Style Sketch’s description mentions no ads and builds looks only from clothes users already own, so for the nearly 10 million advertisers Meta counts on its AI creative tools, a new collection reaches the app only once a customer has bought and photographed the pieces.
