Nvidia halves DGX Spark memory to hold the price at $4,999
A 64GB version arrives as memory shortages push the 128GB desktop AI machine to $6,950, up from $3,999 at launch.
Nvidia announced a 64GB version of its DGX Spark desktop AI computer on Friday 2 October 2026, priced at $4,999 and on sale from 23 October through Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI, Hardware Busters reports. There is no Nvidia-branded Founders Edition of the smaller model.
On the same day the 128GB model rose to $6,950. It launched at $3,999 and went to $4,699 earlier in 2026, a rise of nearly 74 per cent since launch. Hardware Busters ties the rises to the memory shortage and cites Micron’s warning that supply stays tight through 2028.
Both versions use the same GB10 Grace Blackwell chip and keep 273 GB/s of memory bandwidth, Crypto Briefing reports. Nvidia aims the 64GB machine at running open models of roughly 26 to 35 billion parameters; larger models need the 128GB version or several units linked together. Nvidia says an updated DGX OS this month makes clustering easier.
For teams that run models on their own desks, local AI now costs more for less memory. The cheapest model now costs $1,000 more than the 128GB version did at launch, with half the memory.
