Anthropic gives Claude Enterprise reports on what AI spend buys

Smart reports group a team’s Claude work and its cost, in-app surveys ask staff what it is worth, and pooled budgets cap a group’s spending.

On 28 October 2026 Anthropic added three tools to Claude Enterprise that let a company see what its Claude bill pays for (Anthropic’s post). A smart report covers one team over dates an admin chooses, for the Claude products they pick. It reads a sample of that team’s conversations and breaks the spend down by type of work. It also lists what each stream delivered and where people hit problems. Its suggestions include repeated tasks worth saving as skills, reusable instructions Claude can follow. Anthropic says the reports are not meant for rating individual performance or for employment decisions.

In-app surveys show members a short card after one of Claude’s replies. A pooled group budget sets one monthly cap for a whole team. Each member’s personal limit stays in place, and a request stops at whichever runs out first. Admins with billing rights get an alert at 50, 75, 95 and 100 per cent of the budget. All three are open to Enterprise customers.

The launch follows a quarter in which spending by Anthropic’s existing customers grew ninefold year on year, TechCrunch reports. Jellyfish, a maker of software for engineering teams, tracked AI coding tool use at 276,000 of its customers. Their spending on those tools is ten times what it was in January, it says, about 2 per cent of their total engineering cost.

Our 28 October price check puts a Claude Team standard seat at $25 a month, and the Team card adds up to $500 a month in pooled API credits.

Anthropic’s post names Enterprise for all three tools. So a team on Claude Team, at $25 a standard seat, can pool up to $500 of API credit a month but gets neither smart reports nor in-app surveys on what that spend produced.
