Anthropic’s IPO filing shows $16.3 billion in sales and no ads
Anthropic filed to list on the Nasdaq as ANT. Its revenue comes from model use and subscriptions, with no ad product anywhere in the filing.
Anthropic, the company behind the Claude assistant, filed on Monday, 26 October 2026, to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker ANT, its announcement says. The number of shares and the price range are still blank. Drafts of the filing had leaked for weeks, TechCrunch notes, and we reported the leaked figures; this is the public version.
The headline figures match the leak. First-half revenue reached $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier, TechCrunch reports. Most of the $80.7 billion net loss is a paper entry, an accounting revaluation of convertible debt with no cash leaving the company. About 250 customers were spending $10 million or more a year at the end of September.
For advertisers, the gap matters more than the totals. Its revenue has two sources, pay-as-you-go use of the models and monthly subscriptions, and PPC Land’s read of the filing finds nothing that sells advertising: no paid placement in answers, no ad tier, no audience targeting product. Seven co-founders keep 50.1% of the votes, TechCrunch adds.
Our price sheet shows what those subscriptions cost: Claude Pro at $20 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly, in our 26 October 2026 check. Web search comes with every Claude plan, Free included. OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan, by contrast, “may include ads”, our ChatGPT entry records from 23 September 2026.
With no ad product in the filing and search built into every plan, a brand reaches Claude’s answers without paying, through the pages Claude’s web search reads and cites.
