StackAdapt says brands can retarget ChatGPT ad viewers elsewhere
Advertisers buying ChatGPT ads through StackAdapt can reach the people who saw them again on streaming TV and display, the company says.
StackAdapt is an ad platform that buys space across websites, apps and streaming TV, and one of the partners through which advertisers buy ads inside ChatGPT. It said on 27 October 2026 that a brand buying ChatGPT ads through it can reach the people who saw them again, PPC Land reported. The follow-up ads can run anywhere in StackAdapt’s network, streaming TV and website banners included, using audiences kept in its Data Hub beside a brand’s customer lists.
In the release, seeing the ad is enough to join the audience. StackAdapt’s ChatGPT ads page, read on 29 October, speaks of retargeting people who clicked. PPC Land points out what the release leaves out: how a person seen in ChatGPT is found again on a TV or another site, and in which countries the retargeting works. The product page says only that ChatGPT advertising is available globally through StackAdapt. No one from OpenAI speaks in the release. The format is a short headline and body text beside a square picture 256 pixels wide, placed under a ChatGPT answer.
Our ChatGPT page, checked 23 September 2026, records that OpenAI’s Go plan “may include ads”. Through the API, a medium-quality GPT Image 2 picture 1,024 pixels square costs $0.053, our 23 September check.
At 256 pixels square, the ad is a quarter as wide as a GPT Image 2 render that costs $0.053 on our sheet, so the creative costs cents. What StackAdapt’s two texts leave open is the audience, which the release builds from a view and the product page from a click.
