How much do UGC creators cost?

By Alexandre S. Published Last checked What changed

A UGC creator video costs from about $50 to $3,000 or more, by the ranges the marketplace Insense published in its rate guide on 14 September 2026. The guide gives these ranges per video and does not say what a figure includes.

The marketplaces charge brands on top. Insense’s pricing page adds a marketplace fee of 7 to 20 per cent on every creator payment, plus a plan from $400 a month. Usage rights for paid ads are included on SideShift and Trend, and are an add-on when you buy from a creator directly.

What a creator video costs, by who publishes the figure

The rate guide quoted here comes from Insense, a marketplace that sells creator access.

Insense’s guide says its tiers reflect “publicly available creator-economy pricing data as a general benchmark”, with no sample or method. That is the source of the beginner tier: $50 to $400 for “Basic filming, minimal editing or unedited raw footage”.

Insense’s platform bands barely move by channel. TikTok runs $125 to $300 for lower-tier creators and up to $1,100 for heavier production, with YouTube Shorts in the same band. Instagram Reels runs to $1,250 in the higher band.

Trend, which brands itself “trend by soona”, publishes a price list with the creator fee inside. Creator Credits cost $9.16 each, and hiring a creator costs 20, 40 or 60 credits “based on their skillset”, for 2 videos or 5 photos. At 20 credits that is $91.60 a video; at 60 it is $274.80. Trend’s credits expire 12 months after they are bought.

R3 on our AI UGC vs human UGC register is a seller’s report. The owner of an agency that sells AI UGC put a human creative at $280 all-in.

What the platform charges on top of the creator fee

Insense’s pricing page states “Creator payments are not covered and must be budgeted separately”. Each plan adds a marketplace fee to every creator payment, covering “the 5-10% Payment Facilitation Fee, and the 5-10% Service Fee”.

Insense plans and the fee on each creator payment, read 2 Oct 2026
Plan Price Billing Marketplace fee
Trial $650 a month One month, then upgrades to quarterly Brand unless cancelled 48 hours before 20%
Brand $500 a month, or $400 billed annually Quarterly or annual 10%
Agency $800 a month, or $640 billed annually Quarterly or annual 7%

SideShift charges $210 a month on Starter billed annually, or $299 month to month, up to $999 for Scale. It says “Creator payments are separate” and recommends $2,000 to $5,000 a month of creator spend on Starter.

Method A worked month on Insense Brand: 10 videos at your own creator fee, here $100 each, the floor Insense’s FAQ states. Creator payments $1,000, plus the 10% marketplace fee $100, plus Brand at $500. Total $1,600, or $160 a video before any paid-usage add-on. Brand bills the quarter, $1,500, up front.

UGC ad usage rights and whitelisting

Not legal advice Usage terms are set by each creator contract and marketplace agreement. This section quotes the marketplaces’ pages and is not legal advice.

A base creator fee covers organic use only, by Insense’s guide. A base rate “typically covers narrow, short-term organic use”, and extending it to paid ads, more platforms or a longer window raises the price. It gives no figure for that step.

Whitelisting means running the ad from the creator’s own account, as a Meta partnership ad or a TikTok Spark Ad. Insense’s guide says it “is priced separately from the content itself because you’re buying account access, not more footage”.

On Insense’s pricing page, Meta Partnership Ads connections are 1 on Trial, 10 on Brand and unlimited on Agency. Five more cost $125 a month.

What each marketplace includes differs:

  • Insense: “Standard usage rights come included by default with all UGC received through Insense”, per its guide.
  • SideShift: every plan lists “Full usage rights for paid ads” as included, and Starter lists “Creator contracts and usage rights”.
  • Trend: “100% licensing & distribution rights to use on social, websites, ads, & more”.

How much do UGC ads cost once they run?

A UGC ad’s cost is production, plus the platform’s share, plus any paid-usage rights, before a cent of media.

On the Insense worked month above, at the $100 floor and before rights, that is $160 a video. The same month at a $400 creator fee is $490 a video. Ad spend sits on top, and the creative testing budget calculator sizes it from your own CPA.

What one AI UGC ad costs instead

At list price, a 30-second AI UGC video costs $0.10 to $1.16 on HeyGen’s Creator plan ($29 a month), if every credit is used, depending on the avatar model. It costs $3.90 on Creatify Starter ($39 a month) and $4.00 on Captions Max ($24.99 a month, an iOS plan price; Captions shows no web price), each if every credit is used. Prices checked .

Arcads publishes credits without dollar prices: 8,000 a month on Starter and 16,000 on Creator, at 800 credits per talking-actor minute.

MakeUGC’s app shows no per-video rate; its API Starter plan works out at $4.95 a talking-actor video, if every credit is used. Which converts better is a separate question, with the evidence on AI UGC vs human UGC.

What a UGC creator rate card lists

  • Base video: the creator fee in the first table.
  • Raw and edited footage: Insense’s FAQ says prices rise for “both raw and edited assets”.
  • Paid usage: priced above organic use, per Insense’s guide, with no figure.
  • Whitelisting: account access for partnership or Spark ads, priced separately; Insense sells extra connections.
  • Production level: Insense’s tiers rise with “scripting, quality lighting and audio”.

None of the three marketplaces’ pricing pages lists a price for exclusivity. A rate card that lists one is setting its own number.
