UGC platforms for brands
Verdict on UGC platforms
Use a creator marketplace when a real person must use your product; use AI UGC for volume and variants. A creator video starts at $99 all-in on Billo; a 30-second AI video costs $2.73 on Creatify Standard, prices checked . But six of nine side-by-side reports on our AI vs human UGC register put human UGC ahead per ad.
For product-in-hand AI UGC from the entry plan:
MakeUGC
Starter lists product in hand and Batch Mode; its actor page says a video renders in about two minutes.
For the lowest list cost per AI video on this page:
Creatify
Avatar video bills 5 credits per 15 seconds, so Standard’s 55 credits cover five 30-second videos.
For many hook variants a day from stock actors:
Arcads
On r/FacebookAds and Trustpilot, 9 of 64 sources describe 10 to 15 variants of a concept a day; Arcads publishes no dollar price.

What a UGC platform is
A UGC platform is where a brand gets user-generated content: short videos that look filmed by a customer, made to run as ads. There are two kinds now.
A creator marketplace matches you with real people. You post a brief, ship your product, approve the video and pay through the platform. An AI UGC generator skips the person: a synthetic actor reads your script on screen.
MakeUGC and Creatify state render times of two to five minutes. The choice comes down to the price per video, the wait and how long you may run the ad. Every AI UGC tool we cover is on the AI UGC hub.
How marketplaces and AI tools compare per video
The marketplaces price a video from $25 to about $100, before fees, and deliver in days or weeks. The two AI tools that publish a price run from $2.73 to $11.80 a video at list price; Arcads publishes none.
| Platform | Price per video | Fees on top | Delivery | Usage rights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Billo | From $99 | None: creator pay included | Not stated | Yours for ads and your channels once approved; no term stated |
| Insense | From $100 to the creator | 7 to 20% fee, plus a plan from $400 a month | 7 to 10 business days | “in perpetuity” (homepage); copyright stays with the creator (FAQ) |
| JoinBrands | From $25 to the creator | 8 to 15% fee; plans from free | 3 to 7 days for most brands | “unlimited usage rights” |
| Trend | $91.67 down to $69.14 | None: creator inside the package | 2 to 3 weeks on average | “fully licensed to you”; no term stated |
| Influee | Set by each creator | 10% fee, plus a plan from $229 a month | Not stated | “Content usage rights for all content”, no scope or term |
| MakeUGC | $11.80 on Starter, API basis | Plan price | About two minutes to render | While your paid subscription is active |
| Creatify | $2.73 per 30 seconds on Standard | Plan price | 2 to 5 minutes | Commercial rights on paid plans |
| Arcads | Not published | Plan price, not published | Not stated | FRESHR can ask you to delete videos after a creator withdraws (terms 13.3.2) |

Trend’s credits expire 12 months after you buy them, and Billo’s prepaid balance stays valid for 12 months. On the AI side, MakeUGC’s licence lasts only as long as your subscription.
What ten videos a month cost on each platform
The per-video floors above hide the fees and plans. Here is one month of ten videos, with the same creator fee on every marketplace that bills creators separately. The cheapest human month, Billo’s at $990, costs about 12.5 times MakeUGC Growth, the dearer AI month.
| Platform and plan | Month’s bill | Per video | Left out |
|---|---|---|---|
| JoinBrands Pay-as-you-go | $1,150 | $115 | Product and shipping |
| Influee Starter | $1,329 | $132.90 | Product and shipping |
| Insense Brand, quarterly | $1,600 | $160 | The quarter billed up front |
| Billo | $990 | $99 | Longer videos and extras |
| Trend Essential | $1,045 for up to 14 | $104.50 | 4 unused videos; credits expire 12 months after you buy them |
| MakeUGC Growth | $79 a month | $7.90 | API basis; the app’s credit cost per video is not published; credits do not roll over |
| Creatify Pro | $55 a month | $5.50 | Retries bill credits too |

Of the marketplaces that bill the creator separately, JoinBrands costs least for a small test, because Pay-as-you-go has no plan price. The AI vs human UGC cost calculator runs the same sum at your own volume and creator fee.
Billo: one price per video, creator pay included
Billo prices the video, and the creator’s pay sits inside it. Its pricing article (9 October 2026) says videos start at $99, rising with length, format, creator type and extras. There is “no monthly subscription needed to order videos”.
You load a prepaid balance through packs, and bigger packs add a bonus. Each video includes “Two revisions within your brief”. Once you approve a video, “the licensing rights are yours to use in ads and on your channels”. The article gives no delivery time.
Billo fits a brand that wants one bill per video, with no fee arithmetic.
Insense: a plan, a fee and the creator on top
Insense lists “115k+ responsive creators across 57+ countries”. Its pricing FAQ says “UGC campaigns start at” $100 a video, paid to the creator.
On top sit a plan and a marketplace fee on every creator payment, both on the pricing page. The one-month Trial costs $650 with a 20% fee. Brand costs $500 a month billed quarterly, with a 10% fee. Agency drops the fee to 7%.
Delivery runs “in as few as 7-10 business days”, with up to three revisions. The homepage promises usage rights “in perpetuity”; the pricing FAQ adds that the “copyright of the content remains with the creator”.
Insense fits a brand running Meta partnership ads, which run from the creator’s own account. Brand links up to 10 creator accounts to your Ads Manager; Agency has no limit.
JoinBrands: the lowest creator floor, plus a platform fee
JoinBrands’ pricing page lists UGC videos from $25, paid to the creator. A platform fee is “a percentage added to each creator payment”: 15% on the free Pay-as-you-go plan, down to 8% on Max at $499 a month.
Paid plans add revisions, from 1 on the free plan to 10 on Max, and 4K exports. Its FAQ says “Most brands start receiving content within 3-7 days of launching a campaign”. Payment is held until you approve, and creators can hand over Spark Codes for TikTok ads (homepage).
The same page sells “AI Videos” at $5 each, so one account can buy both kinds.
Trend: packages with the creator inside
Trend sells credit packages, and each package states its price per video with the creator fee included. Starter is $550 for 6 videos; Scale is $3,872 for 56.
Hiring a creator costs 20, 40 or 60 credits “depending on skill set”, for 2 videos. At the FAQ’s $9.16 a credit, that is about $183 to $550 a hire. The credits “expire 12 months after purchase”. Every approved piece is “fully licensed to you”. Production takes “2-3 weeks” on average, the slowest stated time on this page.
Influee: a monthly plan, creators paid on top
Influee charges a plan by collaborations a month: $229 for up to 10 on Starter, up to $999 for 50 on Pro. “Creator payments are not included in the subscription fee”, and a 10% marketplace fee applies.
Each plan lists “unlimited revisions”, and payment sits in escrow until you approve. The usage line reads “Content usage rights for all content”, with no scope or term. The page states no delivery time.
MakeUGC: product in hand, licensed while you subscribe
MakeUGC puts your product in the actor’s hand on every plan, Starter included. Its talking actors page lists “1,000+ realistic AI actors”, “50+ Languages” and a render “in about two minutes”.
Starter, $59 a month, includes product in hand and Batch Mode.
The licence is the catch for a long-running ad. Section 6 of the Fair Use Policy (11 July 2025) grants a licence to outputs “only if they have a valid and active paid subscription”. Section 7 forbids using outputs to “fabricate testimonials”.
The most common complaint is billing: charges that continue after cancelling (17 of 29 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
Users also report lip sync that drifts and hands that move oddly, so each clip needs a check (5 of 29: YouTube, YouTube).
Plans: MakeUGC pricing. The full profile: MakeUGC. Everything on the tool: MakeUGC hub.
- Best for
- Direct-response teams testing many UGC and B-roll variants, with Batch Mode and product-in-hand video on every plan and API access drawing on the same credits.
- Skip it if
- your ads must keep running after you cancel: the Fair Use Policy grants a licence to outputs only during an active paid subscription.
Creatify: the lowest published cost per AI video on this page
Creatify bills avatar video at 5 credits per 15 seconds, which puts a 30-second video at $2.73 on Standard, $15 a month. Its avatar page lists “1,500+ realistic avatars”, “75+ languages” and “Renders in 2-5 minutes”.
Commercial rights come with “all paid subscription plans”. Its terms (6.2) keep every use subject to its Moderation Policy, and a breach reverts all rights to Creatify.
Users say one product link becomes many ad variants “in minutes” (15 of 61 sources: G2, r/PPC).
Retries and failed renders still bill credits (15 of 61: Trustpilot, r/FacebookAds). Cancelling is hard, with charges reported after cancelling (9 of 61: Trustpilot, Trustpilot). Head to head: Creatify vs MakeUGC.
- Best for
- E-commerce teams making URL-to-video ads in volume who want an ad launcher for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin in the same tool.
- Skip it if
- you need more than five 30-second videos a month on Standard: its 55 credits cover five at 10 credits each.
Arcads: stock actors from real creators
Arcads lists “1,000+ Captivating AI Actors” and translation “in more than 30 languages” on its homepage. Its actors are real creators who licensed their likeness, which brings a marketplace-style risk to an AI tool.
Terms 13.3.2 let FRESHR, the company behind Arcads, ask you to delete videos after a creator withdraws. Arcads publishes credits but no dollar prices (prices).
Talking Actor Models
These models are priced either per minute and per actor:
Talking Actor – Arcads 1.0 → 800 credits per minute, per actor; Talking Actor – Audio-Driven → 800 credits per minute, per actor; Talking Actor – OmniHuman 1.5 → 800 credits per minute, per actor
Important: If you use multiple actors in the same video, credits are counted per actor; Length is always rounded up.
Example: A 2-minute video with 2 actors using OmniHuman 1.5 = 2 min × 2 actors = 3200 credits
Users report 10 to 15 variants of a concept in a day (9 of 64 sources: r/FacebookAds, Trustpilot). Price is the most common complaint (19 of 64: Trustpilot, r/dropshipping). Renewals after cancelling and unanswered refund requests follow (16 of 64: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
- Best for
- Talking-actor ads close to a whole minute long, if billing rounds up to the minute as the help centre’s one example suggests.
- Skip it if
- you need a price before you sign up: Arcads publishes monthly credits but no dollar amounts.
When a human creator wins, and when AI does
Human UGC wins per ad in six of the nine side-by-side reports on the AI UGC vs human UGC register, ahead on click-through or conversion. The three that held the hooks constant (R2, R3, R4) all did.
A real person also wins where the ad is a review. A customer tasting or unboxing your product is the claim itself. MakeUGC’s policy forbids fabricated testimonials, so an AI actor cannot stand in for a buyer.
AI wins on volume and languages. Ten hooks cost $2.73 to $11.80 each at list price, and each of the three tools here lists 30 to 75 or more languages. R3 and R4 settled on a split: AI tests the hooks, and people film the winners.
What each kind of creator charges, with rights and whitelisting: UGC creator rates.
Left out, and why
Cohley and Aspire are out. Aspire’s homepage has no pricing page and sends brands to “Book a Demo”. Cohley’s pricing page did not load on 21 October 2026.
