Creatify Aurora
Aurora is the model behind Creatify’s talking photos. You give it one photo of a face and one audio track. It returns a video in which that face speaks or sings the audio. The match between the mouth and the sound is called lip sync.
Output that misses the brief, lip sync included, is the largest complaint in 61 public sources on Creatify (17 of them).
Creatify bills it two ways. In the app, a balance of credits pays for each video. If every credit is used, 30 seconds of Aurora uses 10 credits there: $2.73 on Standard at $15 a month.
Through the API, the same length uses from 12 credits. An API is a way for software to order videos from Creatify without opening the app, and it has its own plans (billing docs). If every credit is used, the lowest setting costs $2.38 on API Starter at $99 a month.
What goes in and what comes out
The API docs put all three Aurora versions on one request. The limits below come from the docs.
- The photo is a PNG, JPG, JPEG or WebP link. For Aurora 2.0 each side runs 256 to 5,760 pixels, the shape sits between 1:4 and 4:1, and the file is 30 MB or less.
- The audio is an MP3 or WAV link, and the video lasts as long as the audio.
- A text prompt is optional. It directs style, scene, camera, lighting, expression or motion. Creatify’s fal launch post says prompts describe the picture and the spoken words come from the audio.
- The finished video is a link. The overview keeps the file at least 7 days. The reference says a
ttl_daysof 1 to 7 deletes it sooner, and leaving it out sets no expiry. Download what you want to keep. - Leaving out
model_versionselects Aurora 1.0, which bills 30 credits for 30 seconds. - A failed task is refunded automatically. A request with too little balance is refused and charges nothing.
The API FAQ says pets and stylised characters work when the face landmarks are visible, and it asks for good light, a front or near-front angle and little motion blur.
| Version | Picture quality | Longest audio | Credits per second |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aurora 2.0 | 480p, 720p (default), 1080p, 2k | 59.7 seconds, 14.375 at 2k | 0.4, 0.7, 1.4, 2.8 |
| Aurora 1.0 | 720p | 5 minutes | 1 |
| Aurora 1.0 Fast | Below 720p, 448 by 832 for 9:16 | 5 minutes | 0.5 |

The docs tell you to use Aurora 1.0 for audio past 59.7 seconds, and Aurora 2.0 for shorter clips where picture quality matters. Billing is per second of audio, rounded up, so 10.4 seconds bills as 11.
Boreal is Creatify’s other video model. The app’s Aurora article says Avatar Video lets you pick Aurora or Boreal and that Aurora is the default. In the API, Boreal has its own endpoint and bills 1 credit per 10 seconds at 720p (Boreal docs), which is 3 credits for 30 seconds.
What 30 seconds costs on each route
Inside the app the cost depends only on length. The credit article sets 5 credits per 15 seconds, rounded up, and its revision rate is 3 credits per 15 seconds.
| Plan | Credits | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 10 | $2.73 |
| Max | 10 | $1.30 |
| Pro | 10 | $1.96 |

On the API the model, the resolution and the plan all change the bill. If every credit is used, Max beats every API row. Its $1.30 undercuts API Pro’s cheapest setting, $1.79. On API Starter only 480p costs less than the app’s Standard price. On API Pro, 480p and 1.0 Fast both do.
| Version and quality | Credits | API Starter | API Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aurora 2.0, 480p | 12 | $2.38 | $1.79 |
| Aurora 1.0 Fast | 15 | $2.97 | $2.24 |
| Aurora 2.0, 720p | 21 | $4.16 | $3.14 |
| Aurora 1.0 | 30 | $5.94 | $4.49 |
| Aurora 2.0, 1080p | 42 | $8.32 | $6.28 |

A 2k render cannot make 30 seconds, because Aurora 2.0 stops at 14.375 seconds of audio at that setting. API Starter holds 500 credits, which covers 23 of the 720p videos in a month. API Pro holds 2,000 and covers 95. App and API plans are on the Creatify pricing page.
Where else Aurora runs
Five outside services offer Aurora. ElevenLabs lists it as an avatar model, per Creatify’s fal post. The four below host it as a model of their own. Prices differ by service.
- fal lists $0.07 a second at 480p and $0.14 at 720p, so a 30-second video costs $2.10 or $4.20. Partial seconds round up.
- RunComfy lists $0.10 and $0.14, which is $3.00 or $4.20.
- Eachlabs lists a range of $0.10 to $0.14 a second by resolution, and an average run of about 3 minutes.
- Runware names Aurora v1 and shows four example clips with a total each, from $1.12 to $1.40. It gives no per-second rate or clip length.
Creatify’s own fal post gives 480p as $0.10 a second, where fal’s model page shows $0.07. fal, RunComfy and Eachlabs state no version.
fal, RunComfy and Eachlabs list pay-per-use prices and no monthly plan. API Starter is $99 a month however few videos you make, so a few videos a month cost less on a host.
The ad-rights position differs by host. fal tags the model “Commercial use”. Creatify’s Runware post says Aurora there is “available for commercial use”. RunComfy lists the licence as proprietary and says commercial use “may require a separate agreement with Creatify”. Eachlabs states no usage terms on its model page.
What reviews say about lip sync
The reviews do not separate lip sync from other output problems. We read 61 public sources on Creatify, from August 2025 to September 2026. The biggest complaint group is output that misses the brief. Its examples include lip sync that does not match, faces that change mid-shot and wrong voices or product details (17 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
One of those reviews, titled “UGC output used unrelated presenter footage with a new voiceover”, describes a presenter whose mouth and gestures do not match the narration after several revisions.
Another 6 of 61 sources describe a recognisable, templated look in avatar ads (Reddit, Reddit). Seven report support refunding credits or charges after a failed generation or a billing mistake (Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
The full tally of praise and complaints sits on the Creatify profile.
Getting a better result
Creatify’s best-practice article, updated 26 October 2025, gives five habits.
- Keep the audio, the face and the prompt consistent in emotion and context.
- Use Voice Model V3 at a moderate, clear pace, and slow the voice slightly if lip sync feels off.
- Start the prompt from its base setup: a studio interview, medium close-up, plain backdrop, steady light, direct eye contact and a still body. Then add one line for your use.
- If the movement does not fit the pose, try another photo or an angle such as three-quarter view.
- Re-render with a revised description or adjusted pacing.
A short test saves credits. Through the API, ten seconds of Aurora 2.0 at 480p is 4 credits, where 30 seconds at 1080p is 42. In the app, 10 seconds bills 5 credits.
A 10-second clip lets you check one photo and one voice before you pay for the full length. In the app, the how-to guide covers the preview, which does not show lip sync until you render.
