Perplexity’s always-on Teammates start at $200 a month
Perplexity says the agents keep working after a task ends, one demo has them scaling creator ads, and they sit behind the Max plan on the web for now.
Perplexity launched Teammates on 5 November 2026, AI agents it says hold on to a job after the first task ends. The Verge reports that they run around the clock, each in its own thread, and that you can give them separate roles and reach them in Slack.
Perplexity’s earlier Computer agents lost their workspace as soon as a job ended, Digital Trends explains. Teammates stay on, drawing on your past sessions, files, connected apps and projects, and Perplexity says they learn from each correction.
Marketing is among Perplexity’s own examples. In its demo, a brand director tells an ads teammate to stop asking first, after it has already moved by itself: it saw creator ads doing better than the customer acquisition cost target (what you aim to pay for each new customer), drew up a larger campaign and passed the contract extension to legal. That is a company demo, with no customer results behind it.
Access is narrow for now: Max subscribers on the web, at $200 a month, with native apps promised by Perplexity. The Verge calls that much more expensive than two rivals, OpenAI’s Dots and Claude Duet.
The nearest prices we hold are Anthropic’s: Claude Pro $20, Max $100 and Ultra $200 a month at our 6 November check.
Teammates’ entry price therefore equals Claude’s top individual plan on our sheet, which means the ads agent in the demo has to justify a $200 monthly seat before it moves a dollar of media budget.
