Tech chiefs adopt Trump’s super intelligence label
Salesforce renames AIForce to SIForce and Satya Nadella writes Super Intelligence after Trump calls users of the old term the enemy.
Big technology bosses are taking up President Trump’s preferred name for artificial intelligence. Salesforce chief Marc Benioff said on Friday 9 October 2026 that the company’s AIForce agent platform is now SIForce, and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella wrote “Super Intelligence” in a post on Saturday, Business Insider reports. Elon Musk had already pledged to rename SpaceXAI as SpaceXSI.
The background is an executive order of 29 September, covered here at the time, that tells federal agencies to write Super Intelligence and SI in place of AI. Private companies are outside its reach. On Thursday Trump wrote on Truth Social that the White House treats anyone using the old term as an enemy, the same report says.
The Verge reports that Nvidia’s new $1 billion science pledge also names super intelligence research, and that Nadella and Jensen Huang attended the summit where the order was announced. Business Insider notes that OpenAI, Scale AI and Character AI did not respond to its questions.
Marketers who sell to US government buyers now face two vocabularies, and product names that carry AI are the first place the choice shows.
