The plan cards show the 1,000-contact tier. Your bill follows the contact selector, so the table below reads the cheapest plan at each list size the site tracks.

A list of 500 pays the 1,000 price, because 1,000 is the smallest tier sold. Starter is the cheapest plan up to 10,000 contacts. At 50,000 the selector offers no Starter, so Plus becomes the entry.
Starter fits automation without AI writing. For AI copy, Plus is the plan. The step costs least in relative terms at 10,000 contacts: $40 a month more, about 27% on top of Starter.
Starter rises fastest with the list: almost tenfold from 1,000 to 10,000 contacts, against about four to five times for Plus, Pro and Enterprise (contact selector).
| Contacts | Starter | Plus | Pro | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $15 | $49 | $79 | $145 |
| 2,500 | $39 | $95 | $149 | $255 |
| 10,000 | $149 | $189 | $375 | $589 |
| 50,000 | Not offered | $609 | $969 | $1,169 |

ActiveCampaign’s own blog gives the same $149 figure for Starter at 10,000 contacts, without stating the billing term (company blog).
Why ActiveCampaign shows no monthly price
Each plan card reads “Billed yearly”, and the page publishes no month-to-month rate. So there is no annual discount to work out: the yearly price is the only price.
That changes what you pay on day one. Starter at 10,000 contacts comes to one bill of $1,788 for the year. Plus at the same size comes to $2,268.
If your list is still finding its size, compare tools that sell by the month. GetResponse pricing and Brevo pricing both publish monthly rates.
Is there an ActiveCampaign free plan or free trial code?
No code is needed, and there is no free plan. The pricing page offers a 14-day free trial with email sign-up and “No credit card needed”.
The page also promises a 30-day full refund (archived pricing page, 26 October 2026). The page does not set out the refund conditions beyond that line.
What moves you to the next contact band
ActiveCampaign prices by contacts, in bands. The FAQ says a list that outgrows its band lets you “upgrade to the next contact band or plan without penalties or losing access to features”.
The page does not say whether unsubscribed or bounced contacts count towards the band. Clean your list before you choose a band: you pay twelve months of it upfront.
Emails sent are capped as a multiple of your contact limit. Starter and Plus allow 10 times, Pro 12 times and Enterprise 15 times. A 1,000-contact Pro plan therefore sends up to 12,000 emails a month.
Add-ons and seats
Seats are fixed by plan. Starter and Plus include 1 user, Pro 3 and Enterprise 5.
The feature table lists four paid extras, none priced on the page:
- Enhanced CRM, sold as two add-ons (Pipelines and sales engagement), from Plus up
- SMS, from Plus up, with broadcasts in the US, UK and Australia
- WhatsApp messaging, from Plus up
- More AI credits, bought “right from checkout or your account”
The list follows the archived feature table of 26 October 2026.
Starter takes none of the first three. Enterprise adds single sign-on and premium segmentation. The pricing page names no dedicated IP option.
Which ActiveCampaign plan has AI writing
AI writing for emails and images starts on Plus. Starter keeps the AI automation and campaign builders and AI-suggested segments (archived feature table).

The price of that step depends on your list. At 1,000 contacts, Plus costs $34 a month more than Starter. At 2,500 the gap is $56. At 10,000 it narrows to $40.
Every plan includes 500 AI credits. Image generation and translated campaigns spend them; core AI keeps working when they run out. Predictive sending, which times each email to the contact, needs Pro.
The ActiveCampaign profile covers what each AI feature does and the terms on training AI with your content.
ActiveCampaign against other email tools on price
