Higgsfield contests
Higgsfield runs contests for AI films and ads, and once for apps, with prizes paid in cash or in Higgsfield credits. On 19 October 2026 none takes new entries. The Global Film Festival, the biggest so far, still sits under Active on the contests page, with a Jury review badge. Results come in the last week of October.

What are Higgsfield contests?
Higgsfield contests are timed competitions where you make something with Higgsfield’s AI models and submit it from your account. The brief changes each time: a short film, a video ad for a real brand, a 60-second clip or a small app. Prizes come as cash or as credits, the in-app currency Higgsfield charges for each image or video you generate.
Every contest sits on one page, higgsfield.ai/contests, split into active and recent.
Each contest has its own page with tabs for the theme, the rules, the submissions and, once judged, the results.
Each contest with published rules requires every AI image and video in your entry to be generated on Higgsfield.
No contest is open: two are waiting on results
No Higgsfield contest takes entries on 19 October 2026. Two are between the deadline and the results.
The Global Film Festival closed to entries on 16 September 2026 (festival rules). Entrants made their films in a festival project in Higgsfield’s Cinema Studio.
Its contest page says “Voting is now closed” and that every result, Audience Choice included, comes out “in the last week of October”. The pool pays fourteen films in cash (festival post):
- First place: $500,000
- Second place: $200,000
- Third place: $100,000
- Audience Choice Award: $100,000
- Ten “Honorable Mention” prizes: $10,000 each
Prizes do not stack. One film wins one prize, and one person or team wins one prize across all their entries.
The Discord 200K contest marked 200,000 members on Higgsfield’s Discord server. Entries closed on 14 October and voting on 17 October. Higgsfield announces the ten results in the server’s #updates channel and on a live stream, set for 19 October at 5:00 PM UTC (Discord 200K post). The contests page and the blog post carry no results on 19 October 2026.
Its prizes are credits only, and they “can’t be exchanged for money”. First place takes 50,000 credits and second 32,000. Third takes 20,000, and places four to ten take 14,000 each. The credits last 90 days.
New contests appear on the contests page first. Discord 200K was announced in Higgsfield’s Discord server as well as on the blog (Discord 200K post).
Recent contests and their prizes
The contests page lists the Adathon, the Apps Contest and Make Your Action Scene under Recent contests.
The Adathon, run with Adweek, was the one contest built for ad makers. It asked professional teams for a 30 to 60 second ad for a real brand, written to their own brief (Adathon rules).
Entry was narrow. Every team member had to be 18 or over and work for an agency, a brand or a production company. The FAQ adds that the team needed a Team, Business, Scale or Enterprise plan.
The ad could be up to 49% live action. The rest had to be AI visuals, and every AI video, image or voice had to come from Higgsfield (Adathon rules). Prizes were credits:
- First place: $50,000 in credits and a trip to Brandweek for up to three people
- Second place: $25,000 in credits
- Third place: $10,000 in credits
A panel scored four criteria at 25% each: the creative idea, brand storytelling, cinematic craft, and realism with consistency. The contest page lists AI-R Studio of Mexico City in first place and Taxfix in second (Adathon page).
The Apps Contest asked for an app built and published in Higgsfield’s App Builder after 8 July 2026 (App Contest page). Every app had to generate through Higgsfield; routing generation through another company’s API meant disqualification. The pool split into $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000, plus ten mentions at $5,000 each.
Usage weighed the most. Verified platform usage inside your app counted for 40%. Creativity counted for 30%, and social and platform engagement for 15% each. Apps built on Higgsfield: Higgsfield apps.
Make Your Action Scene asked for a short action scene: “Build a world, pick your hero, raise the stakes”, its page reads. It counts more than 8,752 projects submitted. The Seedance 2.0 Contest ran for one week in April 2026. Both public pages give the pool and dates, and neither says whether prizes were cash or credits.
How to enter a Higgsfield contest
The steps below follow the two most recent contests, the Global Film Festival and Discord 200K. Each contest’s Rules tab has the final word.
-
Open higgsfield.ai/contests and pick a contest listed as active. Its Rules tab sets the deadline and the format.
-
Sign in to a Higgsfield account. The festival FAQ says a paid plan is not needed to enter; the free tier and its limits: Higgsfield free plan.
Who can enter, as the Global Film Festival rules put it Higgsfield Global Film Festival, Official Rules: At a Glance, captured -
Meet the extra conditions. Discord 200K needed a Discord member who linked their Higgsfield account in the #verification channel, then selected Apply.
-
Open your contest project. Both contests create one in Cinema Studio. Every AI image and video in your entry has to be generated there, inside the contest window (Cinema Studio guide, how to use Higgsfield).
-
Make and edit the entry. Discord 200K allows outside edits only if the final cut goes back into the project.
-
Export the final video in the required form. The festival asks for “the final video with Higgsfield’s watermark and packshot”, in 16:9 or 21:9, at three minutes or more.
Section 4 of the rules: runtime, format and the watermark Higgsfield Global Film Festival, Official Rules: Film Requirements, captured -
Select Submit and add a title and a short description. Discord 200K asks you to name any outside editing there.
-
Post it publicly where the rules ask. The festival requires the same video on Instagram, YouTube, X or Reddit, “viewable without logging in”.
The rules every contest shares
Four Higgsfield contests publish full rules, and they repeat the same core. Entrants are adults, everything AI is generated on Higgsfield, and borrowed characters or music you hold no rights to get an entry thrown out.

Paid Higgsfield plans add no visible watermark of their own (Higgsfield help), so the festival’s watermark and packshot are a contest rule.
Why does my generation have a watermark?
Paid plans don’t add a visible Higgsfield watermark to your generations, whether they’re credit-based, free generations included in your plan, or Unlimited models. Separately, Higgsfield may embed invisible, machine-readable markers or metadata that identify content as AI-generated: they aren’t a visible watermark and don’t appear on your image or video.
The watermark depends on your account type, not on the model, the credits used, or the output quality. On a free account, every generation carries a Higgsfield watermark. On any paid plan, generations come without a watermark. There is no separate watermark setting to switch on or off. The visible watermark is separate from the invisible, machine-readable markers Higgsfield may embed in AI-generated content; those markers aren’t visible in your file and aren’t removed by upgrading.
Two rules bar real people. The festival bans any real person’s face or voice in its inputs, your own included. Discord 200K bars cloning or imitating a real voice, and allows real people only with their permission.
Credit prizes expire, and none of the rules lets you swap them for money. Cash and credit winners alike pay “any applicable taxes”, in the Apps Contest’s words.
Discord 200K also put voting behind a paywall: only accounts on an active paid plan could vote. Paid plans start at $15 a month. Before you pay to vote, know that 9 of 52 public user sources report refunds refused once any credit is spent (Trustpilot, Higgsfield user reports). Higgsfield’s terms (section 9.3) allow that.
Who owns your entry
You keep ownership in every contest whose rules say so. Higgsfield takes a right to show your work, and how long that right lasts runs from two years to forever.
The Adathon’s rules give the clearest terms. Entries “remain the property of the Team”, and Higgsfield and Adweek get a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them in any media to run and promote the contest. That licence lasts two years from entry. The team also answers for every clearance, from music to talent releases.
Discord 200K lets you keep the rights and lets Higgsfield show your entry, with credit, across its gallery and channels. Submitting also makes your whole contest project public until the results are out, with your prompts and uploaded references. Anyone can study how you made it.
The Apps Contest grants Higgsfield the right to feature your app in galleries, social media and promotion, with credit. The festival’s Official Rules (section 9) let you keep copyright. You give Higgsfield a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use your film in its marketing (festival rules). That licence never ends, unlike the Adathon’s two years.
Higgsfield’s general terms matter too, since every entry is made under them. Section 4.4 claims no ownership of your inputs or outputs and sets no limit on commercial use, and outputs may train its models (Higgsfield terms).
Three of 52 public user sources object to its training and licence clauses. A July 2026 version licensed outputs and uploaded faces to Higgsfield perpetually, a clause since deleted (YouTube, YouTube). Plans, terms and user reports in one place: the Higgsfield profile.
Discord 200K says its top entrants may be invited to Higgsfield’s creator partner programme, which pays in plans and credits (Higgsfield affiliate program and Earn).
Questions about Higgsfield contests
Are Higgsfield contests free to enter?
Most are. The Global Film Festival, the Apps Contest and Discord 200K needed only a Higgsfield account. The Adathon needed a Team, Business, Scale or Enterprise plan.
Do Higgsfield contests pay cash?
Some do. The Global Film Festival pays fourteen films in cash. Discord 200K and the Adathon paid in credits, which expire and cannot be exchanged for money.
Where does Higgsfield announce contest results?
On each contest’s page, under its results tab. Discord 200K announces its ten places in the server’s #updates channel and on a live stream. On 19 October 2026 the contests page shows no Discord 200K results.
Can I edit my entry outside Higgsfield?
Yes in Discord 200K, if the final cut goes back into your contest project. The Adathon allowed live action and ordinary editing tools, but every AI element had to come from Higgsfield.
