Is Higgsfield free?
Yes. Higgsfield has a free plan: you can sign up and generate without paying, on a short list of models, with Higgsfield’s watermark on every clip.
The help centre says “There’s no trial period”. Some accounts still see a one-day trial in the app, which turns into Plus at $49 a month unless you cancel. Free credits come from daily allowances, offers inside the app and community rewards.
| What | On the free plan |
|---|---|
| Price | $0 a month |
| Credits | A daily allowance the app counts as “Daily free credits left”; the plans data lists 10. The help centre says free access “doesn’t include credits” |
| Models | “A small set of models”, not named by Higgsfield |
| Watermark | Visible on every free output; terms 4.1 bar removing it |
| Commercial use | Allowed by terms 4.4, conditional on the model’s own rules |
| Unlimited models | None |
| Paid trial | Some accounts: one day, then Plus at $49 a month unless cancelled |

Is Higgsfield free?
Yes, with limits on models and output. The plans article, modified on 14 September 2026, puts it in one line: “You can generate without a paid plan, but access is limited to a small set of models and doesn’t include credits” (plans article).
Can I use it without a subscription?
You can generate without a paid plan, but access is limited to a small set of models and doesn’t include credits. A subscription unlocks the full model library, credit allowances, parallel generation, and Unlimited access on supported plans.
Higgsfield’s plans data disagrees. The plan list its pricing page loads, read on 19 October 2026, gives the Free plan 10 credits and a daily_credits field of 10 (plans data). Every paid plan carries the same field, and Higgsfield does not explain it. The app’s “Daily free credits left” counter shows what your account gets.
So is Higgsfield still free? On 19 October 2026, yes: both sources list the free plan.
What the free plan includes
You get the app, a short model list and a watermark. Higgsfield names no model on the free list; your model menu shows which ones open without credits.
The watermark is the catch for ads. On a free account, every generation carries a Higgsfield watermark, says Higgsfield’s watermark article of 28 August 2026. Any paid plan removes it from new generations.
Clips made on Free keep the mark after you upgrade, and terms 4.1 bar removing it (terms, 26 July 2026). Invisible machine-readable markers stay on every plan.
Why does my generation have a watermark?
Paid plans don’t add a visible Higgsfield watermark to your generations, whether they’re credit-based, free generations included in your plan, or Unlimited models. Separately, Higgsfield may embed invisible, machine-readable markers or metadata that identify content as AI-generated: they aren’t a visible watermark and don’t appear on your image or video.
The watermark depends on your account type, not on the model, the credits used, or the output quality. On a free account, every generation carries a Higgsfield watermark. On any paid plan, generations come without a watermark. There is no separate watermark setting to switch on or off. The visible watermark is separate from the invisible, machine-readable markers Higgsfield may embed in AI-generated content; those markers aren’t visible in your file and aren’t removed by upgrading.
Rights are the good news. Terms 4.4 set no plan condition: Higgsfield “does not claim ownership of any of your Inputs or Outputs, nor does it restrict your commercial use of Outputs”. With a third-party model, that model’s own rules apply too, and the stricter one wins (terms 8). The same clause 4.4 lets Higgsfield train on what you make.
Free generations run in a shared pool. Higgsfield’s interface warns that “Free generations may take longer during high demand” (interface text).
How to get free credits on Higgsfield
Five routes add credits or free generations without a subscription, and offers inside the app add more.
The first is a daily allowance. Higgsfield’s app shows a count of “Daily free credits left”, and generations on them carry the watermark: “Watermark is applied using Daily Credits” (interface text).
The second is the Academy. Higgsfield’s course text says “every course comes with free generations built in”, so you practise inside a lesson without touching your balance (interface text). Once those run out, generations draw on your own credits.
The third is Community. Higgsfield’s rating article, modified on 15 October 2026, pays credits for milestones (rating article):
| Achievement | Credits |
|---|---|
| Reach 100 rating points | 5,000 |
| Reach 500 rating points | 75,000 |
| Reach 1,000 rating points | 200,000 |
| Approved blog post with 20+ likes | Up to 5,000 |
| Work featured by Higgsfield | Up to 200,000 |

Points come slowly. A verified project earns 30, a first Open Project 4, a completed profile 3. Credits land when you press Claim, and unclaimed rewards keep.
The fourth is karma, earned inside Higgsfield’s Chat: 10 karma an image generation, 20 a video, and an 800-karma welcome bonus. The standard rate is “1000 karma = 10 credits”, and Free and Starter accounts exchange “up to 4,000 Karma/month” (interface text). At that rate, the cap is worth 40 credits a month.
The fifth is the referral link. Higgsfield pays “50 (Plus monthly), 100 (Ultra monthly), 150 (PLUS/ULTRA annual)” credits when someone joins through your link and upgrades. That needs a paying friend.
Some offers come and go, each behind card verification with no charge. The interface text holds 5 free generations on Seedance 2.0 in 4K (10-second clips), and 5 on “Exclusive Seedance 2.5 at 1080p”, “Available on desktop only”.
A separate note covers the first: “All free generations on Seedance 2.0 4K are posted to the public feed”, prompts included. A client’s product has no place in that feed.
Higgsfield also runs contests for its users, set out in the Higgsfield contests guide. Creators who publish AI work can apply to the Creator Partnership Program, which gives accepted partners “A full plan renewed every month”, with “Audience size does not matter” as its entry rule.

How to use Higgsfield walks through each tab once you are in.
What “free for 24 hours” means
“Higgsfield free for 24 hours” was a one-day promotion in July 2026. Higgsfield’s post of 22 July 2026 set the terms: “The trial lasts exactly 1 day, 24 hours from activation”, for new users on the free plan only (trial post).
To get free unlimited AI video generation on Higgsfield, sign up and activate the 1-day trial before it ends on July 23 at 1:30 PM UTC. It unlocks unlimited generation across 20+ top models, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Nano Banana Pro, Gemini Omni Flash, and GPT Image 2 among them, with nothing deducted from any credit balance. For 24 hours, running Seedance 2.0 at volume costs nothing at all.
How It Works? For 24 hours, the full lineup, Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0 among them, runs at the same resolution and clip length a paying Plus subscriber gets on monthly billing, with nothing deducted from a credit balance the entire time. Nothing about the models is scaled down, watermarked, or restricted during that window.
It covered unlimited generation on five video entries, Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0 among them, plus 11 image and 5 audio models. The card went in at checkout, the trial cost nothing, and it then “converts into a paid monthly Plus subscription”. It had to be activated before 23 July at 1:30 PM UTC.
So the 24-hour window is a trial with a renewal attached. Trial outputs carried no watermark: “Nothing about the models is scaled down, watermarked, or restricted during that window”. Without a cancel, Plus started with 7 extra days of unlimited Nano Banana 2 at 1K and 2K.
Unlimited ran with “Unlimited” switched on in the model menu; with the toggle off, generations spent credits.
The one-day trial and its charge
Some accounts see a one-day trial today. The help centre still says “There’s no trial period”, so the offer lives in the app, account by account.
Higgsfield’s interface text spells out the terms. The trial “gives unlimited access to all top models” on higgsfield.ai and through its MCP connector (Model Context Protocol, the link that lets Claude or ChatGPT drive Higgsfield). Then, “Unless you cancel before then, your card will be automatically charged” $49 “after the full 1 day and your Plus monthly subscription will start”.
The same text adds three conditions. The trial is “available once per user”. It needs card verification, with a temporary hold that “is released within 24 hours and never becomes a charge”. And trial generations “run in relaxed mode”, one image and one video at a time.
A second trial sits on the MCP side: a 3-day Plus trial with 100 credits that work “only in the MCP”, then $49 a month.
Users report the cost of a missed cancellation. Nine of 52 sources describe refunds refused once any credit was used, trial renewals among them (Trustpilot); terms 9.3 set that rule (terms). Eight describe upsell pop-ups and one-click checkouts that lead to unwanted upgrades or charges after cancelling (Reddit, Reddit).
That makes the order of steps matter. The interface says “You can cancel auto-renewal anytime before it starts”, from Manage account → Subscription, and the in-app note links “See how to cancel auto-renewal”. Cancel well inside the 24 hours. The cancellation guide shows where the switch sits and how terms 9.3 treat refunds.
When free runs out: the cheapest plan
The cheapest step up is Starter, at $15 a month for 200 credits a month. It removes the watermark from new generations and keeps the same commercial terms.
Starter carries no Unlimited models. Those start on Plus, at $49 a month for 1,000 credits a month.
The plan list was checked on . Subscription credits expire at each renewal, so buy the size you use in a month. Six of 52 user sources name expired credits (Trustpilot, YouTube).
A credit pack is the other way to pay without a subscription running. Pack credits last 90 days from the day you buy them. After you cancel, they stay usable on the free plan, on the models it includes (credit packs article).
Do Credit Pack credits expire, and what happens if I cancel?
Credit Pack credits are valid for 90 days from purchase. If you cancel your subscription, the credits aren’t lost: they stay available on the free plan, and you can spend them on the models the free plan includes. The 90-day timer keeps running as usual, so if it ends before you spend the balance, those credits expire.
Every plan, credit pack and refund rule sits on the Higgsfield pricing page. Higgsfield Unlimited shows which models each plan opens. Terms and user reports in one place: the Higgsfield profile.
