Nano Banana on Higgsfield
Nano Banana is the name Google’s Gemini image models go by, and Higgsfield sells them inside its own app. On Higgsfield, one Nano Banana Pro image costs 2 credits, or 4 at 4K.
That is $0.098 an image on the Plus plan, if every credit is used. Google’s own API charges $0.134 for the same model at 1K or 2K.

How much does Nano Banana cost on Higgsfield?
Higgsfield charges a flat number of credits per image. The compare table on Higgsfield’s pricing page, read on 21 October 2026, lists Nano Banana Pro at 2 credits and 4 at 4K. Nano Banana 2 costs 2 credits, and the original Nano Banana costs 1. The Starter card counts its 200 credits as about 100 Nano Banana Pro generations a month.
Pro and Nano Banana 2 cost the same here, and that changes the choice. Google prices Pro at double Nano Banana 2 for a 1K image. On Higgsfield both take 2 credits, so the job decides: Pro for complex scenes, Nano Banana 2 for fast batches.
Higgsfield’s Nano Banana 2 page says it runs “roughly 2–3x faster than Pro” (Nano Banana 2 page).
Plan price turns credits into money. Starter costs $15 a month for 200 credits, Plus $49 a month for 1,000 and Ultra $129 a month for 3,000 (pricing). The table uses monthly prices; annual billing, at $39 a month for Plus, brings a Pro image to $0.078.
Is Nano Banana free on Higgsfield?
Not on the free tier. It costs no credits only inside an Unlimited window or a trial. Higgsfield’s Nano Banana 2 page answers its own question: “No, Nano Banana 2 is a paid model.”
The free tier is thin. Higgsfield’s plans article says it is “limited to a small set of models and doesn’t include credits”, and “There’s no trial period” (plans article, modified 14 September 2026). Every free generation carries a Higgsfield watermark (watermark article).
Higgsfield’s July post says otherwise on trials: “New creators get a 1-day free trial of All Unlimited” (All Unlimited post, 22 July 2026). The two pages disagree, and the pricing page shows whether your account gets the trial.
On paid plans, Nano Banana runs unlimited for set periods. The help centre defines Unlimited as generations that “don’t deduct credits for a set period”, two images at a time, on higgsfield.ai only (Unlimited article).
The plan cards read on 9 October 2026 gave these windows:
- Plus: 7 days of Nano Banana 2 at 2K.
- Ultra: 7 days each of Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 at 2K.
- Team: 7 days of Nano Banana Pro at 2K.
The annual cards captured on 16 October show the same 7-day labels for Plus and Ultra. The Business card captured that day lists Nano Banana Pro at 4K for 7 days. On individual plans Unlimited stops at 2K: the July post lists every Nano Banana model “up to 2K”, so 4K costs credits there.
The 7 days run from the day you activate them, and the Unlimited article says the period “doesn’t restart at renewal”.
One older source gives more. Higgsfield’s plan table of 11 September 2026 gives Plus and Ultra a 365-day set of six image models. The original Nano Banana is one of them (plan table). The cards read in October show only 7-day windows, so the 1-credit row applies unless your card lists it.
A single day costs little. The July post prices a one-day Nano Banana Pro bundle at 2K, on top of a plan, at $5. Against $0.098 an image on Plus credits, it pays from the 52nd image.
Users report waits of 20 minutes to over two hours on Unlimited (8 of 52 sources: Reddit, Reddit). At the shortest reported wait, 52 images fit in a day: two at a time and 20 minutes a round, they take under nine hours. At two hours a round, they take more than two days. How to use Nano Banana on Higgsfield
Higgsfield’s help article covers four models (Nano Banana help article, modified 9 September 2026). Pro is for “Complex scene generation with reasoning” and Nano Banana 2 for “Fast bulk generation”. Nano Banana 2 Lite drafts, and Nano Banana edits by instruction.
Its steps for a product image on Nano Banana Pro:
- Open higgsfield.ai, go to Image and pick Nano Banana Pro. Open Higgsfield’s own help article, How do I use Nano Banana?, in a second tab beside the generator.
- Choose a mode: Text-to-Image, Multi-reference or Image-to-Image.
- Describe the subject in its setting and light, with any quantities or text on the pack.
- Add up to 14 reference images and say in the prompt what each one is for.
- Set the size. Draft at 1K, then rerun the keeper at 2K or 4K.
- Generate. For the next try, change the prompt or the references, never both.
How do I generate with Nano Banana Pro?
Open higgsfield.ai → Image → Nano Banana Pro.
Choose your input mode: Text-to-Image, Multi-reference, or Image-to-Image.
Write a clear, specific prompt. Describe the subject, setting, lighting, and any specific quantities or text. Be explicit.
Add references if needed (up to 14), and describe the role of each reference in the prompt.
Set the resolution. Start at 1K when iterating, scale to 2K or up to native 4K for final assets.
Generate and iterate. If something is off, change the prompt or the reference, not both at once.
Drafting at 1K matters for your budget only at 4K, since 1K and 2K both cost 2 credits.
To change one part of a photo, Higgsfield has a mask tool. Its post sets out four steps (Inpaint post, 11 December 2025):
- Go to Edit, then Nano Banana Pro Inpaint, and upload your image.
- Paint over the exact object or area with the mask brush.
- Write what should change, such as “Replace the T-shirt with a black leather jacket”.
- Generate. Only the painted area is rebuilt.
The original Nano Banana edits a whole image by instruction, with up to 8 references. Its help article gives “Change the background to a Parisian café at night” as an example. It also adds or edits text on an image.
How do I edit an image with Nano Banana?
Open higgsfield.ai → Image → Nano Banana.
1. Upload or create a base image.
2. Write a short instruction: “Change the background to a Parisian café at night,” “Replace the T-shirt with a black leather jacket,” “Insert text: FUTURE IS NOW.”
3. Add references if needed: up to 8 images in one composition, each with its own role described in the prompt.
4. Generate.
A real person’s face goes through Higgsfield’s own character tool. The help article says to train a Soul ID first and make an Element from its portraits (Higgsfield Soul guide). For turning the finished still into a clip: product photo to video.
Higgsfield or Google’s own apps?
For Nano Banana Pro at standard rates, Higgsfield costs less per image if you use your credits. Plus works out at $0.098 against $0.134 on Google’s API (Gemini API pricing).
Google wins on two routes. Its batch mode halves the Pro price to $0.067, if you can wait for results. And Nano Banana 2 at 1K costs $0.067 on the API, against 2 credits on Higgsfield. Google’s newer Nano Banana 2.1 lists $0.034 at 1K.
The original Nano Banana left Google’s API on 2 October 2026 (deprecations), and Higgsfield’s help article still lists it.
The Gemini app sells no image count. Google’s plans set usage limits instead, with 1K downloads free and 2K on a paid Google AI plan (Google AI plans). Nano Banana Pro there is a “Redo with Pro” step on paid plans.
Google’s API has no free tier for image output (Gemini API pricing), and it works only through code. Higgsfield needs neither.
Both companies’ terms apply. Higgsfield’s 4.4 does not restrict commercial use of outputs. Its section 8 adds that a model maker’s stricter policy governs (Higgsfield terms, 26 July 2026). Google’s Terms of Service (30 July 2026) say it “won’t claim ownership” of generated content.
Higgsfield pays off when stills feed video. Users value one login for Nano Banana, Kling, Veo and Seedance (6 of 52 sources: YouTube, YouTube). A product shot made on Pro moves straight into a video model on the same balance (Kling on Higgsfield).
