AI spokesperson video generators and creators
Verdict on AI spokesperson video generators
Start with HeyGen for a scripted presenter ad, and pick MakeUGC when the presenter must hold your product. HeyGen’s Creator plan, $29 a month, adds 175+ languages and a digital twin (prices checked ). Viewers still spot AI presenters, as 19 of 69 Synthesia reviews and 3 of 39 HeyGen reviews report.
For a presenter ad localised into many languages:
HeyGen
Creator lists 175+ languages and 1 custom digital twin; in 8 of 39 user reviews, the avatars look real and the lip sync lands.
For a UGC-style presenter holding your product:
MakeUGC
Product in hand and Batch Mode come on every plan; 17 of 29 user reviews report charges after cancelling.
For explainers and onboarding with your own presenter:
Synthesia
Starter includes 3 personal avatars; its Acceptable Use Policy bars stock avatars from paid social ads without written consent.
For a clone of a founder, identity-checked first:

What an AI spokesperson video is
An AI spokesperson video is a person on screen reading your script to camera, generated from text. You type the words, pick a presenter and a voice, and the tool animates the mouth to match. Most tools call this person an avatar or an actor.
Tools also call this a talking head or talking avatar: a presenter who speaks to camera.
It differs from a UGC-style ad in framing. A spokesperson faces the camera like a brand host or a newsreader. A UGC clip mimics a customer filming at home on a phone (what UGC content is). Several tools below make both, so pick by the job and by what the terms let you run.
Which tools qualify
Each tool here sells a presenter that speaks a typed script, with lip sync, in more than one language.
| Tool | Languages the vendor lists | Your own avatar | Length or billing limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| HeyGen | 175+ on paid plans, 30+ on Free | 1 digital twin on Creator | 30 minutes a video on Creator, 1 minute on Free |
| Synthesia | 160+ | 3 personal avatars on Starter | About 22 minutes a month on Starter |
| D-ID | 120+ | 3 personal avatars on Pro | 15 minutes a month on Pro, billed in 15-second steps |
| MakeUGC | 50+ | 1 on Growth, 3 on Pro, none on Starter | Scripts up to 1,500 characters |
| Arcads | 30+ | Not on a published plan | Billed by the minute, “rounded up” |
| Creatify | 75+ | 3 on Pro | 2 minutes a video on Standard |
| JoggAI | 50+ | 1 on Free, 3 on Starter | 1 minute of AvatarX a video on Starter |
| Argil | Not published | Your own verified clone | 160 credits a minute of video |

Talking avatar presenters for explainers and localised ads
HeyGen: the widest language list
HeyGen turns a script into a presenter video and translates it with lip sync.
Creator, $29 a month, lists 175+ languages, videos up to 30 minutes and 1 custom digital twin (HeyGen pricing). A 30-second video costs $0.10 to $1.16 per video by avatar model, if every credit is used.
Users say the avatars look real and the lip sync lands, digital twins included (8 of 39 sources: G2). A twin made from your own photo or footage can come out stiff or unlike you (4 of 39: App Store, Product Hunt). Every fix or retake costs credits, errors the tool made included (8 of 39 sources: App Store, Trustpilot).
For a testimonial-style ad, the terms (s.2) bar presenting output as entirely human-made. Section 4 bars free-plan videos from ads. More on the HeyGen profile.
AI Avatar Generator
Stock avatars: 1,100+ AI actors and presenters ready to use Browse a library of 1,100+ diverse AI actors across ages, looks, and styles, then assign your script and press generate. Every avatar is camera-ready and cleared for commercial use.
Your digital twin: a clone that moves like you Record one short video and HeyGen clones you into a digital twin on Avatar V that looks, moves, and gestures like you. Most twins are ready in 10 to 20 minutes.
Localization without the reshoots Produce a video once, then publish it in 177+ languages and dialects with lip movement matched to each language.
Synthesia: polished presenters, kept off paid social
Synthesia is built for training and product-education videos. Starter, $29 a month, includes 3 personal avatars (Synthesia pricing).
The same script can play in 160+ languages, the pricing page lists.
Its Acceptable Use Policy bars stock avatars from “promoted”, “boosted”, or “paid” social ads without Synthesia’s written consent. Its help centre adds that stock avatars may not endorse products. So for a Meta or TikTok ad, use a personal avatar of someone who has agreed to it, or get Synthesia’s written consent first.
They Cannot Be Used to Represent Specific Individuals or Brands
Stock avatars are not intended to impersonate real people or act as spokespersons. This means they can’t: Endorse products or services; Deliver opinions or beliefs; Represent a particular organization or viewpoint.
This helps maintain transparency and avoids the risk of audiences misinterpreting who the avatar is meant to represent.
Users rank its stock avatars among the most polished (7 of 69 sources: r/instructionaldesign, YouTube). Viewers still read them as AI, and some teams keep only the voice (19 of 69: r/elearning, r/instructionaldesign). The HeyGen and Synthesia comparison sets the two side by side.
D-ID: a talking photo with a mark that stays
D-ID animates a photo or a stock presenter from a script. Pro costs $29 a month for 15 minutes a month, with 3 personal avatars and a commercial licence (D-ID pricing). Each video bills in 15-second steps, rounded up.
Every animation carries a synthetic mark you may not remove or minimise without D-ID’s written approval (EULA, 4.2). That matters if your ad must look like a filmed presenter.
Users find the lip sync and facial movement convincing (7 of 33 sources: Trustpilot, G2). Others say bodies barely move, so presenters look stiff next to HeyGen or Synthesia (5 of 33: G2, Trustpilot).
Presenters for UGC-style ads
MakeUGC: a presenter who holds the product
MakeUGC makes short ads where an AI actor speaks your script, and can hold your product for the whole clip. Its talking actors page lists six formats, from testimonial to founder story, and up to 1,000+ actors on Pro (300+ on Starter). Each video renders in about two minutes.
The actor’s mouth is “generated to match the script in the language you pick”, across 50+ languages (languages).
Starter costs $59 a month for 500 credits, with 300+ actors and export at 480p and 720p (pricing). The API docs bill 100 credits per talking-actor video, for scripts up to 1,500 characters (credit costs). That is $11.80 per video on Starter, if every credit is used. Every plan and billing view: MakeUGC pricing.
Your own face needs Growth (1 custom avatar) or Pro (3). The custom avatar page allows yourself or people “who have clearly agreed to it”.
Users say talking-actor and product-in-hand clips pass in a fast feed (3 of 29 sources: Trustpilot, YouTube). Lip sync drifts and hands move oddly in some clips, so each needs a check (5 of 29: YouTube, Trustpilot). The loudest complaint is billing: charges after cancelling (17 of 29: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
Its terms (5(f)) bar output where a legally required AI disclosure is left out. The MakeUGC hub gathers every MakeUGC page, and the MakeUGC profile has the full terms.
Arcads: actors who pass as creators
Arcads sells script-to-video ads read by 1,000+ AI actors in 30+ languages. It publishes no price. Its credits article bills talking actors at 800 credits a minute, with length “rounded up”.
Talking Actor Models
These models are priced either per minute and per actor:
Talking Actor – Arcads 1.0 → 800 credits per minute, per actor; Talking Actor – Audio-Driven → 800 credits per minute, per actor; Talking Actor – OmniHuman 1.5 → 800 credits per minute, per actor
Important: If you use multiple actors in the same video, credits are counted per actor; Length is always rounded up.
Example: A 2-minute video with 2 actors using OmniHuman 1.5 = 2 min × 2 actors = 3200 credits
Users say the stock actors pass as creator content, with tight lip sync (16 of 64 sources: r/dropshipping, Trustpilot). Output often falls short of Arcads’ own ads, with blurry renders and synthetic voices (18 of 64: Trustpilot, r/FacebookAds).
The real person behind an actor can withdraw consent, and the terms (13.3.2) then make you delete those videos everywhere. More on the Arcads profile.
Creatify: a product link into many avatar ads
Creatify turns a product link or script into avatar ads, in 75+ languages on its pricing page.
Standard, $15 a month, caps videos at 2 minutes; Pro adds 3 custom avatars. A 30-second avatar video costs $2.73 per video on Standard, if every credit is used.
Users report lip sync that does not match and faces that change mid-shot (17 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, r/FacebookAds). Its avatar ads share a templated look that holds at scroll speed (6 of 61: r/PPC, r/FacebookAds). More on the Creatify profile.
JoggAI: avatar minutes on a small budget
JoggAI makes avatar videos from a script, URL or photo in 50+ languages. Starter, $29 a month, includes 3 custom avatars and caps AvatarX, its premium avatar, at 1 minute a video (JoggAI pricing). A 30-second video costs $0.12 per video at that rate.
Users say avatars and voices sound natural, with emotion that shows (9 of 40 sources: AppSumo, Trustpilot). The same number say lip sync jitters and avatars read as artificial (9 of 40: AppSumo, Trustpilot). The JoggAI profile covers the API.
Your own face as the spokesperson
Argil: a verified clone of you
Argil clones the person who trains it, and its terms (5.2.3.1) require identity verification before a user avatar video is accepted. Pro costs $50 a month for 2,000 credits (Argil pricing). Its docs bill video at 160 credits a minute (pay-as-you-go pricing).
Users say the clone looks and sounds like its owner (5 of 15 sources: Traksource, YouTube). The same count report a blur around the mouth in fast speech (5 of 15: Traksource, Trustpilot).
Its terms (6.7.1) reserve the web app for personal use outside the API, so agency or client work made there is unclear. Clause 12.2 gives you no rights in the person behind a generic avatar.
Free AI spokesperson video options
Four of the eight have a free plan and D-ID a free trial. Only JoggAI’s terms allow commercial use of free-plan videos.

JoggAI’s Free plan gives 200 one-time credits, about 1 minute of avatar video, valid for 31 days (JoggAI pricing). Its terms allow output “including for commercial purposes”, and the watermark comes off from Starter.
HeyGen Free makes up to 3 videos a month of up to 1 minute, and its terms (s.4) bar them from ads. Synthesia’s Basic plan has no downloads. Creatify Free covers two videos of up to 15 seconds (Free plan article), and its terms give free users “limited rights” without listing them. D-ID’s 14-day trial is non-commercial (EULA 3.1).
MakeUGC and Arcads have no free plan. MakeUGC’s cards read “Start for $1”, renewing at the plan price unless you cancel. Argil lists no free plan, and Arcads’ refund policy describes a 3-day trial that charges the saved card unless you cancel.
Left out, and why
Captions is out for ads. Its terms (3.1(xiv)) ask for written consent before Mirage content is used commercially, and its pricing page lists iOS plans only.
Questions about AI spokesperson videos
Can I run an AI spokesperson in Facebook or TikTok ads?
Yes, where the plan’s terms allow ads: the paid plans here, Argil’s web app aside, and JoggAI’s free plan. Synthesia’s stock avatars need its written consent for paid social, and HeyGen’s free videos may not run as ads.
Do I have to label an AI spokesperson ad?
Where the law requires it, yes. HeyGen (s.2) and MakeUGC (5(f)) bar output that skips a required AI disclosure, and D-ID marks every animation.
Can I make a spokesperson avatar of myself?
Yes: HeyGen Creator, Synthesia Starter, D-ID Pro, MakeUGC Growth, Creatify Pro, and JoggAI from its free plan. Argil verifies your identity first.
Is an AI talking avatar the same as an AI spokesperson?
Yes. An AI talking avatar, or talking head, is a generated presenter who speaks your script to camera. Every tool on this list sells one.
