Pinterest reaches 661 million users and credits its AI search
Pinterest grew revenue 12 per cent in the third quarter, said its AI visual search makes it more useful to advertisers and guided fourth-quarter growth to 8 to 12 per cent.
Pinterest reached 661 million monthly users in the third quarter of 2026, up 10 per cent, and grew revenue 12 per cent to $1.17 billion, it said on 29 October. Chief executive Bill Ready said its “AI-driven visual search and shopping experiences” make Pinterest more valuable to users and advertisers alike, in Pinterest’s results release.
The money still comes from a small part of that audience. The US and Canada have 107 million users. They brought in $894 million, or $8.38 each. Pinterest’s other 554 million users, in Europe and the rest of the world, brought in $280 million between them, and revenue per user in Europe fell 7 per cent. For the fourth quarter Pinterest expects $1.425 billion to $1.475 billion, growth of 8 to 12 per cent. Gen Z now makes up 57 per cent of the audience, and Pinterest told investors its ad targeting draws on more signals than before, Social Media Today reports. Its visual search ads, launched last month, put ads inside search results and in the close-up view of a Pin.
Those placements run on images. Predis.ai, whose outputs include image ads for Pinterest, sells a Core plan at $32 a month, or $19 billed yearly, for about 325 images, our Predis.ai page shows from our 30 October check.
That is about ten cents an image at the monthly price, so an advertiser can make a broad set of image variants for those search placements for a few dollars, while the users who pay most are still the 107 million in North America.
