; extra seats USD 20. The catalogue does not say whether USD 20 needs an annual term (it statesbilled annually

HubSpot’s price at 500, 2,500, 10,000 and 50,000 contacts
HubSpot bills marketing contacts, the ones you allow it to email. Each plan includes a set number and sells the rest in blocks, so your bill depends on the block your list falls into.
Starter is the cheapest plan at every list size below. Professional and Enterprise add their onboarding fee once, on top of the monthly figure (catalogue).
| Contacts | Starter | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $20 | $890 | $3,600 |
| 2,500 | $120 | $1,140 | $3,600 |
| 10,000 | $410 | $1,390 | $3,600 |
| 50,000 | $2,010 | $3,190 | $4,000 |

Method: Starter includes 1,000 contacts and sells blocks of 1,000. Professional includes 2,000 and sells blocks of 5,000. Enterprise includes 10,000 and sells blocks of 10,000.
Each list size rounds up to its block, and the rates are the catalogue’s monthly block prices. Seats beyond those included are left out.
So a 2,500-contact list pays for 3,000 on Starter. The price table for all 15 email tools sets HubSpot’s curve beside the others.
What HubSpot’s free plan allows
HubSpot’s free tools send 2,000 marketing emails per calendar month, with HubSpot branding on each (free tools catalogue). The pricing page says Free covers up to 2 users and needs no credit card.
Free has none of the paid automation, and the HubSpot branding stays. Smart CRM contacts cost nothing, so the free plan works as a way to send occasional updates from the CRM you already keep.
A weekly email to 450 contacts uses about 1,950 sends a month (450 times 4.33 weeks). Past that size, a weekly newsletter needs Starter.
What moves your HubSpot bill up
HubSpot’s terms and catalogue set three rules, and none of them works in your favour (Product Specific Terms section 3, last modified 16 September 2026).
The first is the instant jump. Pass your contact tier and the fee rises at once, prorated for the rest of your term (3.3.1). The second is the ratchet: once the fee rises, it does not fall when your contacts or sends drop later (3.3).
The third is timing. The catalogue says a contact moved back to non-marketing leaves your count at the next month or at renewal. The tier itself cannot be lowered before renewal. Import an old list and mark it as marketing, and you pay for it until the term ends.
Sends count too. The catalogue caps Starter at five times your contact tier, Professional at ten and Enterprise at twenty. Section 3.2.2 says that once you reach the cap “you may not be able to send any more emails”. Buying more contacts raises it.
Is HubSpot cheaper on yearly billing
The pricing page does not say. It shows a lower and a higher figure for Starter and Professional beside “Pay Monthly” and “Pay Annually” options, with no label saying which one is annual.
Starter shows $7 and $20 per seat. The lower one is 65% below the higher, the same “Save up to 65% on Starter” the page advertises. That offer is “for new customers only” (pricing page).
Professional shows $800 and $890. The catalogue lists $20 a month and $890 a month, and only Enterprise carries “billed annually” (catalogue). Every figure on this page uses the catalogue prices.
Add-ons and fees beyond the plan
Onboarding is the largest. Professional requires $3,000 once and Enterprise $7,000 (pricing page). Starter has none.
Extra core seats cost $20 a month on Starter, $50 on Professional and $75 on Enterprise, per the catalogue. The pricing page gives Professional seats as starting at $45.
Extra HubSpot Credits, the allowance the AI agents spend, cost $0.01 each on the pricing page. The Dedicated IP Add-on, which sends from an address no other customer shares, comes with unlimited sends (Product Specific Terms 3.2.2). Neither the catalogue nor the pricing page prices it. The pricing page lists no SMS add-on.
Which HubSpot plan includes the AI features
The Content agent, HubSpot’s AI writer, and AI email template upload start on Professional. “Email send time optimization” is Enterprise only.

| HubSpot Marketing Hub | Send time Email send time optimization (Beta) | Enterprise | Not on Professional | |
| HubSpot Marketing Hub | AI agent Content agent (Beta) | Professional | Consumes HubSpot Credits (3,000 a month on Professional, 5,000 on Enterprise) | |

At 10,000 contacts, the AI writer costs $14,760 more than Starter in year one. The first year on Professional costs $19,680. Starter at the same size costs $4,920 (catalogue).
The HubSpot Marketing Hub profile covers what each AI feature does and how to stop HubSpot training on your data.
