Is Creatify worth it?

By Alexandre S. Published Last checked

Yes, Creatify is worth it if you test new video ads every month and start on monthly billing. It is an AI tool that turns a product link or a script into a video ad fronted by a synthetic presenter. Its cheapest paid plan, $15 a month, costs less than one video from a human creator (read ).

No, if you want a refund safety net or a real customer’s story. Creatify’s refund policy says “payments are final and non-refundable”, and 8 of 61 public sources report a refused refund.

How many ads before a Creatify plan beats one human UGC video?

One or two ads on most plans. Only Business needs more, and it gets there at its fourth ad.

A UGC creator is someone paid to film a customer-style ad. The marketplace Insense puts beginners at $50 to $400 a video in its rate guide, and its pricing page starts UGC campaigns at $100 a video. What UGC creators cost adds the fees and usage rights on top.

Creatify bills 5 credits per 15 seconds of avatar video, rounded up (credit article), so a 30-second ad uses 10 credits.

The third column below assumes three full takes for every ad you keep. Creatify publishes two rules on retakes. Its credit article bills a revision at 3 credits per 15 seconds. On Pro and above, a revision is free if the script, avatar and voice stay the same.

Its pricing FAQ says anything that re-runs the AI uses credits as a new generation. The column uses the full rate, the costlier of the two.

Creatify plans against one human UGC video, 30-second avatar ads, every credit used, read 7 Nov 2026

Method: plan credits divided by 10 credits an ad, or 30 credits at three full takes, rounded down. A plan beats a creator at the first ad count where its price divided by those ads falls below the creator’s rate. Business uses its 1,500-credit tier.

Creatify's pricing page with annual billing selected: Standard at $10 ($15 struck through), Pro at $38 ($55) and Max at $66 ($95) a month, with 55, 280 and 730 credits a month

Retries shrink what a plan holds. Counting kept ads, they leave the break-even where it was.

On Pro, three full takes lift a kept ad from $1.96 to $6.11, still far below a beginner creator’s rate. On Standard, full-rate retakes cut the month to a single keeper, so anyone who retries often should start on Pro.

Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone sit outside this table. Creatify says their credit use “cannot be determined upfront”.

Long videos are the other drain. On Standard, 55 credits cover 2 minutes 45 seconds of avatar video in a month. One user on the old Starter plan reports a 4:59 video taking all 100 of a month’s credits (Reddit).

Cost per ad is only half the sum. In the three matched comparisons in our AI UGC vs human UGC guide, human UGC ads returned more than AI ads. Two report higher ROAS (return on ad spend), and one higher conversion.

Two of those reports, one from a media buyer and one from an agency selling AI UGC, settle on the same split. AI tests the hooks, and people film the winners. That is Creatify’s strongest case, a cheap way to find the hook worth paying a creator for.

What do Creatify’s users praise and complain about?

Speed earns the praise. The complaints start with output that misses the brief, then credits that run out. We counted 61 public sources from August 2025 to September 2026: 31 Trustpilot, 13 Reddit, 10 G2, 6 Product Hunt and 1 YouTube. A source can raise several points.

The praise:

  • A product link becomes many ad variations in minutes (15 of 61 sources: G2, Reddit)
  • Beginners with no editing background get a first video out quickly (11 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Product Hunt)
  • One plan covers avatars, cloned voices, your own avatar and many languages (9 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, G2)

The complaints:

  • Output misses the brief, with lip sync, faces, voices or product details gone wrong (17 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot)
  • Credits run out faster than the pricing suggests, because retries, failed renders and agent runs all bill (15 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Reddit)
  • Avatar ads share a recognisable, templated look (6 of 61 sources: Reddit, Reddit)

Those first two complaints feed each other. A render that misses the script costs credits to redo, which is why the three-takes column above matters more than the plan’s headline count.

No source in the sample gives a measured ad result. The ROAS and click-through claims come from promotional threads, so reviews cannot tell you whether these ads sell for you.

Is Creatify legit? What Trustpilot, G2 and Reddit show

Creatify is a funded company with published terms, and its reviews split sharply by site.

Trustpilot showed 3.7 from 844 reviews on 7 November 2026, down from 3.9 from 833 on 28 September. Stars sit at the extremes: 76% give five and 18% give one. Of the 20 reviews on its first page, 19 give one star.

Trustpilot also prints two notices: “This company hasn’t invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative” and “Hasn’t replied to negative reviews”. Twelve of its five-star reviews were posted in three days, 24 to 26 November 2025. Five of those twelve are among the 61 sources we count above.

G2 showed 4.8 from 1,702 reviews on its archived copy of 25 August 2026. In our sample, G2 sources mostly praise the workflow. On Trustpilot, half of the 20 latest reviews on 24 September 2026 asked for a refund (Creatify profile).

Of the 13 Reddit sources, 10 sit in r/FacebookAds and 3 in r/PPC. One r/PPC user says of the avatars that “they definitely have a ‘look’ you start recognizing”. Three sources come from one thread, “Just got burned by Creatify.”, on credits and a refused refund.

Most English YouTube reviews we found are sponsored by Creatify or carry its affiliate links, so none is counted above except one unsponsored credit review. The Creatify profile holds the company, funding and security details.

What happens with billing, cancelling and refunds?

You pay up front, and you should expect no money back. Plan around that before you enter a card.

Creatify’s terms (section 4) say “Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law”. The refund policy repeats it, dated 23 August 2026.

Users report the policy being applied hard, and sometimes bent:

  • Refunds refused, even for unusable results (8 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot)
  • Cancelling is hard, with renewals, annual charges or charges after cancelling (9 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot)
  • Support answers fast and sometimes refunds credits or charges (7 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot)

That last link is a five-star review from a user refused once, who asked again and got the refund as an exception.

Three rules sit in the small print. Credits “expire after 2 months” on the pricing page. Its FAQ adds that “You cannot switch from an annual plan until you have less than 10 credits left”. And the app lists no credit top-up, so more credits mean a bigger plan.

Four habits protect you:

  1. Pay monthly for your first two months. Yearly billing saves 30 per cent and locks in a full year with no refund. When yearly billing pays off has the sums.
  2. Put your renewal date in a calendar, two days early.
  3. Cancel on a desktop browser, the path the help centre gives. The button sits “at the very bottom of the Subscription page”, and the nine steps include a note of at least 20 characters.
  4. Save a screenshot of the final notice. At one step you click “I still want to cancel” to pass a free-month offer, and one reviewer warns against that offer (Trustpilot).

Your plan and credits stay active to the end of the billing period, so cancelling early costs you nothing. The last screen also offers Pause Plan, which stops billing and keeps your projects.

How do you test Creatify before you pay?

Use the Free plan, then buy one Standard month. The Free plan gives 10 credits a month, enough for two watermarked videos of up to 15 seconds.

That tells you whether the presenter and script suit your product. It tells you little about running ads. The free plan article says Ad Flow and Agent cannot finish a video on 10 credits. Free credits do not carry into a paid plan either. Is Creatify free? covers the limits.

Creatify’s pricing page shows how many videos each plan makes per AI model, which is the quickest way to size your month. Model choice moves that count a lot: Standard makes 11 avatar videos of 15 seconds, or 7 Seedance 2.0 clips of 5 seconds.

A fair first month on Standard is five 15-second hooks for one product: 25 credits, with 30 left for retakes. Count how many takes each keeper needs, then read the table above with your own number. How to use Creatify walks through the steps.

Who should skip Creatify?

Skip it if you need a real customer, a product in hand, fixed agent costs or training videos:

  • A real customer’s story is the ad. A synthetic presenter is no customer, and the FTC bars misrepresenting that “the reviewer or testimonialist exists” (16 CFR 465.2, AI UGC legal guide). Hire a creator: Trend’s Starter package works out at $91.67 a video.
  • An avatar has to hold your product. Creatify’s pricing page lists no such feature. Tagshop AI lists it on every plan from $29 a month (pricing, read ).
  • You need a known cost on every Agent run. Creatify’s Agent uses credits you cannot see in advance. Stay on its standard video tools, or choose plans with a stated video count, as Tagshop AI’s have.
  • Your videos are training or B2B explainers. Users report too few templates for B2B, SaaS and corporate training (2 of 61 sources: G2, Product Hunt). HeyGen Creator at $29 a month (pricing, read ) and Synthesia are built around presenter videos (Creatify vs HeyGen).
