Trade Desk ties Koa to Dstillery’s agent for mid-flight audiences

Adweek reports the two AI agents can now build a custom ad audience during a live campaign, which Dstillery says cuts a four-day job to minutes, while buyers question the effect on spend.

Dstillery’s chief product officer, Taejin In, puts the usual wait for a custom audience bought through The Trade Desk at four days, because people coordinated by hand. The two companies have now connected their AI agents, which they say cuts that to minutes, Adweek reported on 4 November 2026.

Ask Koa, The Trade Desk’s conversational assistant, now exchanges messages with Dstillery’s agent, DS-1, while a campaign is live. Drawing on how the ads perform and what the advertiser wants to reach, the agents design a new audience that buyers can activate in The Trade Desk.

DS-1 dates from March and rests on Model Context Protocol, a common way to plug AI tools into other software, AdExchanger reported at the time. Dstillery’s own release then claimed one early user, Keynes, cut a 48-hour job to five minutes. Adweek’s summary adds that, speed aside, ad buyers question whether the integration drives higher spend.

Model Context Protocol is also how agents reach Meta’s ads: its setup page listed Claude and Claude Code among four supported agents when we read it on 26 September (our list of tools for media buyers).

Dstillery’s four days are 29% of a two-week flight, so on its own figures the saving matters most to short flights and least to always-on campaigns.
