By Alexandre S. Published Prices checked What changed

Verdict on invideo AI

Use invideo AI to build ads from stock and generated clips if you accept credit costs that can change unannounced. On Starter at $20 a month, a 5-second Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p clip costs $1.50 if every credit is used, prices checked .

Timeline edits are free, but plan credits expire monthly and bill every regeneration; 9 of 42 reviews report one short project using a month’s credits.

Best for
Marketers who want a finished, edited video with stock, voice and generated shots in one tool, plus terms that rule out training on their data.
Skip it if
your generated creator says they use your product: policy 6.2 bars Licensed Content falsely suggesting a contributor “personally endorses, uses” it. The terms do not say whether a generated creator counts.

What invideo AI makes for ads

invideo AI’s agent turns a prompt or a script into an edited video with voiceover, stock footage, captions and music. Its UGC Ads page promises to “go from a product link to a finished UGC ad in minutes”. The agent “casts a creator from your description, holds them across the ad”, with “no stock avatar library to pick from”.

The same page lists the styles it builds, starting with “Testimonials”, and sizes ads for “TikTok and TikTok Shop, Reels, Meta, Shorts, or your product page”. It names no model: the agent “routes each shot” to the one it picks.

Credits also buy clips from named models, Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling and Hailuo among them (model price list). The timeline editor comes with every plan, and manual editing uses no credits (help centre).

Only sponsored or affiliate-linked YouTube reviews praise Agent Two and the agentic editor launched in September 2026 (5 of 42 sources: YouTube, YouTube).

What an invideo AI clip costs in credits

invideo AI’s pricing table rates its headline models in credits per 5 seconds. At about 30 credits a clip, Starter’s 400 monthly credits buy 13 Seedance 2.0 Fast clips at 720p. On Starter at $20 a month, a clip costs $1.50 if every credit is used. Plus at $60 a month cuts it to $0.90 if every credit is used (pricing page, prices checked ).

Credits and clip counts come from the pricing page’s comparison table, which marks each rate as approximate. The Starter card above it says “~15 Seedance 2 fast videos”; the table counts 13.

Neither the pricing page nor the UGC Ads page states a credit rate for a UGC ad.

invideo’s pricing FAQ says models bill “at their original API pricing”, and invideo can change credit costs “at any time, without prior notice”. Unused credits do not roll over: after a downgrade or cancellation, “any unused paid credits will expire”, while an upgrade carries them to the new plan.

Watch out Every retry bills again. The pricing FAQ answers “Am I charged for every generation?” with “Yes!”, and the help centre says credits pay for “agent processing” as well as for the clips themselves.

$0.30 per second of video at list price on Starter at $20 a month, if every credit is used. Starter $20 / 400 credits = $0.05 a credit; Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p is about 30 credits per 5 s (pricing table) = $1.50 a clip, $0.30 a second. Plus monthly $60 / 2,000 = $0.03 a credit; Seedance 2.5 1080p is about 50 credits per 5 s = $1.50 ($0.30 a second), or $0.90 ($0.18 a second) on annual Plus ($432 a year = $36 a month, $0.018 a credit). The Starter card’s about 15 videos conflicts with the table’s 13.

The price tracker sets these plans beside every other tool’s.

Why paying users run out of invideo AI credits

One short project using a month’s credits is invideo AI’s most-reported complaint, level with paying for every retry (9 of 42 sources each: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).

A Plus subscriber says “a single unfinished 35-second video consumed all my monthly credits”, even after buying extra credits (Trustpilot).

Every regeneration and edit costs credits, fixes to the AI’s own mistakes included (9 of 42 sources: Trustpilot, Reddit). In an October 2025 Reddit post, a team on the retired Generative Plan approved pop-ups totalling 21.4 credits. Then all 100 of its monthly credits went, deducted “every time we edited a frame”.

A 30-second ad cut from six Seedance 2.0 Fast clips uses about 180 of Starter’s 400 monthly credits before any retry. The help centre shows the credit cost “before you confirm each generation”.

Refunds are refused once any credit is used (6 of 42 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot). Terms 3(d) say the same: the refund window runs 7 days from buying or renewing, longer where law requires. It applies only if no credits or premium features were used.

What invideo AI’s terms allow in paid ads

Not legal advice This section quotes invideo’s terms and Acceptable Use Policy, both dated 8 July 2026, and reads them as an ad buyer would. Ask a lawyer before you rely on any reading here.

invideo’s terms let you keep your outputs, “subject always to these Terms, applicable law and third-party rights” (4(b)). Section 4(h) adds a “perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free” licence to commercialise them, which “survives any cancellation or termination of your subscription”.

Stock media carries its own licence. Rights in outputs that include Licensed Content “are subject to the licence terms applicable to that Licensed Content” (4(h)). Section 4(a)(v) defines Licensed Content as “stock images, video, audio, fonts and other media assets made available through the Services by Invideo or its licensors”.

The Acceptable Use Policy then bars using Licensed Content “in a manner that falsely suggests that any actor, model, voice artist or other contributor personally endorses, uses or is affiliated with you or your products” (6.2). A stock clip of a real actor inside a testimonial ad falls under it as written.

The UGC Ads page offers “Testimonials” with a creator the agent generates, so whether 6.2 covers that script turns on the definition above.

Any real person in an ad needs consent: you represent “all necessary consents from any identifiable individual” (4(e)).

Section 4(d) leaves AI disclosure to you where law or industry standards require it. Policy 2.6 bars removing watermarks or provenance signals that mark content as AI-made.

The AI commercial use matrix rates paid ads as allowed with conditions on every invideo plan. Are AI UGC ads legal? sets endorsement rules beside these clauses.

Is invideo AI safe? What its documents and reviews show

invideo AI’s terms bar training on your data (4(f)), and its most-reported complaints concern credits. Section 4(f) says invideo “will not use your User Data to train or fine-tune” its models.

The contracting company depends on where you are: Invideo Inc. of Delaware for the US, Canada and Mexico, and Invideo Innovation Pte. Ltd. of Singapore for most other countries (section 1). Users in those three countries go to individual arbitration unless they opt out by email within 30 days (10(a)).

The help centre’s refunds page, which still lists the Basic, Pro and Ultra plans the pricing page no longer sells, calls refunds “pro-rated and usage based”, reviewed “case-by-case”. Terms 3(d) say invideo does “not offer pro-rata or partial refunds”.

What invideo AI free-plan users report

The free plan needs no card and gives limited credits that reset each Monday (help article, 28 July 2026).

Free-plan users of invideo AI report that a finished generated video still needs a paid plan (3 of 42 sources: YouTube, Trustpilot). One reviewer got “Not even single trial credit” (Trustpilot).

The video below shows a free balance too small for one generated clip, so the agent switches to stock footage. Its free export carries a watermark.

How HeyGen, Creatify and Topview compare with invideo AI

HeyGen and Creatify publish a credit rate for avatar video, which invideo AI’s UGC Ads tool does not; Topview publishes no avatar rate either.

HeyGen makes talking-avatar videos priced in credits per minute. On Creator at $29 a month, 30 seconds of Avatar III with a Video Look costs $0.10 if every credit is used (credits article, ). That assumes half a minute bills as half, which HeyGen does not state. See HeyGen for ads.

Creatify turns a product link into an avatar ad at 5 credits per 15 seconds (help centre). On Starter at $39 a month, a 30-second ad costs $3.90 if every credit is used (pricing page, ). See Creatify for UGC ads.

The AI ad cost calculator prices one usable HeyGen or Creatify ad by its length and the takes you keep.

Topview also starts from a product link and runs Seedance 2.5. On annual Ultra at $50 a month billed yearly, a 30-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p costs $3.60 if every credit is used (pricing page, ). Billed monthly on Basic at $18 a month, the same clip costs $16.20 if every credit is used. See Topview.

On invideo, Seedance 2.5 runs at 1080p on Plus at $60 a month and on Max. Thirty seconds at the pricing table’s rate costs $9.00 on Plus if every credit is used (pricing page).
