invideo AI alternatives
Verdict on invideo AI alternatives
Five tools replace invideo AI for ad video, each on one job: HeyGen, Creatify, Topview, TikTok Symphony and Runway. On invideo Starter, a second of Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p costs $0.30 if every credit is used (checked ).
The catch is ad rights: Runway Free is the only free plan here whose terms allow ads without conditions, and its videos carry a watermark.
For talking-avatar ads in 175+ languages:
HeyGen
Creator buys 600 credits a month. Free plan output may not run in ads (terms s.4).
For product-link ads launched to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin:
Creatify
Avatar video bills 5 credits per 15 seconds, rounded up, and payments are non-refundable.
For product-link videos with published per-model credit rates:
Topview
Seedance 2.5 at 720p costs 6 credits per 4 seconds; 33 of 73 user sources report hours-long waits in the “unlimited” queue.
For avatar ads made inside TikTok Ads Manager, with no price published:
TikTok Symphony Creative Studio
Every export carries an AI-generated label (help page, June 2026), and the governing terms sit behind a login.
For a free plan whose terms allow ads:
Runway
125 one-time credits; terms 4.4 do not restrict commercial use, and every free video carries a Runway watermark.

Why people look for an invideo AI alternative
The most common complaint is credits: 9 of 42 sources report one short project using a whole month’s allowance (Trustpilot, YouTube). Another 9 report that every regeneration costs credits, fixes to the AI’s own errors included (Trustpilot, Reddit).
The pricing rules explain the drain. invideo’s pricing FAQ bills third-party models “at their original API pricing” and lets invideo change credit costs “at any time, without prior notice”. Unused credits do not roll over.
Refunds are refused once any credit is used (6 of 42 sources, all on Trustpilot). Terms 3(d) set a 7-day window that applies only if no credits or premium features were used.
The free plan does not appear on the pricing page (invideo pricing works out every plan). And 6 of 42 sources describe a free plan that gives stock footage, a watermark and too few credits for a generated clip (YouTube, YouTube).
Is there a free invideo alternative without a watermark?
Yes, with conditions. 9 of 18 sources report TikTok Symphony exports without a watermark (YouTube, YouTube), and Google Flow’s visible mark is a toggle (Flow help). Neither has terms that settle ad use.
| Tool | Free allowance | Watermark | May free output run in ads? |
|---|---|---|---|
| invideo AI | Not shown on the pricing page | A free plan of stock footage, a watermark and too few credits for a generated clip, by 6 of 42 user reports | Allowed with conditions: 4(h) grants a licence to “Outputs you generate through the Services”, stock media under its own licence (8 Jul 2026) |
| HeyGen | Up to 3 videos a month, 1 minute each (pricing page) | Yes | Barred: Free output may not be “used in connection with commercial activities, advertising” (terms s.4, 23 Jul 2026) |
| Creatify | 10 credits a month (pricing page) | Yes | Unclear: “Users of the Free Tier have limited rights” (terms s.1, 23 Sep 2024) |
| Topview | No free plan on the pricing page, read 2 Oct 2026 | None to report | Barred for Free Users: “any commercial purpose, including for advertising” (terms, 9 Sep 2026) |
| Pippit | Daily credits (pricing page) | Yes | Allowed with conditions: CapCut content “for commercial purposes”, under its Materials License Agreement (terms s.9, 15 Apr 2026) |
| TikTok Symphony | A daily allowance, by 9 of 18 user reports | No, by the same reports; an AI-generated label on every export | Unclear: the Creative GenAI terms sit behind a login |
| Google Veo in Flow | 50 credits a day (Flow help) | A “Visible watermarking” toggle; SynthID always | Unclear: “Google won’t claim ownership over that content” (terms, 30 Jul 2026) |
| Runway | 125 one-time credits (help centre) | Yes, on every Free plan video | Allowed: “does not restrict your commercial use of your Outputs” (terms 4.4, 15 Sep 2026) |

What a second of generated video costs
Google’s Gemini API sits lowest per second at list price, then Topview’s annual Ultra, on different models. Whether API output may run in ads is unclear under Google’s terms.
| Tool and plan | Model | Credits | Cost a second |
|---|---|---|---|
| invideo AI Starter, $20 a month | Seedance 2.0 Fast, 720p | About 30 per 5 s | $0.30 |
| invideo AI Plus, billed yearly | Seedance 2.5, 1080p | About 50 per 5 s | $0.18 |
| Topview Basic, $18 a month | Seedance 2.5, 720p | 6 per 4 s | $0.54 |
| Topview Ultra, billed yearly | Seedance 2.5, 720p | 6 per 4 s | $0.15 |
| Runway Standard, $15 a month | Gen-4.5 | 12 a second | $0.29 |
| Runway Standard | Seedance 2.0 Fast | 29 a second | $0.70 |
| Google Veo, Gemini API | Veo 3.1 Fast, 720p | Billed a second | $0.10 |
| Google Veo, Gemini API | Veo 3.1 Lite, 720p | Billed a second | $0.05 |
| HeyGen Pro | Seedance 2.0, 720p | 60 a clip, any length | Per clip only |

Method: plan price divided by its monthly credits, times the credits the vendor lists for one second.
HeyGen bills Seedance and Veo by the clip whatever its length (credits article), so no figure a second is divided out. The same model family costs a different amount at each reseller, and a clip on one is never the same output as on another. Every plan sits in the AI ad tool price tracker.
HeyGen: avatar minutes in 175+ languages
HeyGen reads a script with a stock or custom avatar. Creator lists $29 a month for 600 credits and 175+ languages (pricing page).
Generated clips bill by the clip, 60 credits each for Seedance 2.0 at 720p whatever the length. And 8 of 39 user sources report that every fix costs credits, as on invideo (Trustpilot, App Store). Free plan output is barred from ads. HeyGen vs invideo sets the two side by side.
- Best for
- Localising one ad script into many languages, cheap avatar minutes for talking-head ads, and founder or spokesperson clones on a paid plan.
- Not for
- Anyone planning to run ads made on the free plan, which the terms forbid, and advertisers of alcohol, online gambling or weapons, which the moderation policy bans.
Creatify: product-link ads with a launcher to Meta and TikTok
Creatify turns a product URL into avatar ads and lists an “Ad Launcher (Meta / TikTok / AppLovin)”. On Starter at $39 a month, a 30-second avatar ad costs $3.90 if every credit is used (help centre).
The billing is stricter than invideo’s 7-day rule: payments are “final and non-refundable” (refund policy). Users report the same drain, with 15 of 61 sources saying retries and agent runs use credits faster than the pricing suggests (Trustpilot, Reddit). Creatify vs invideo covers the switch.
- Best for
- E-commerce teams making URL-to-video ads in volume who want an ad launcher for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin in the same tool.
- Not for
- Buyers who need predictable spend on the agent features, whose credit use is not known upfront, or more than one seat below Pro.
Topview: product links and Seedance at published rates
Topview turns a product link into a video and publishes a credit rate per model. On annual Ultra it lists 30 days of unlimited Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 at 720p (pricing page).
Users dispute that word: 33 of 73 sources report “unlimited” clips that queue for hours or days (Trustpilot, Trustpilot). Under its terms (9 September 2026), refunds come only within 3 days with unused credits, and non-enterprise content trains its models unless you opt out (“How We Use Content to Improve Our Models”).
- Best for
- Teams that want product-link-to-video, product avatars and cheap generative clips under one subscription, especially on annual billing.
- Not for
- Free users who want to run ads, which the terms forbid; pharma and medical-device advertisers, who need prior written approval; and anyone who needs a published avatar credit rate.
Pippit: a free plan inside the CapCut family
Pippit fits a seller who wants link-to-video ads and post scheduling in one free app. Its paid prices cannot be checked, so it sits outside the verdict.
Pippit makes link-to-video ads and talking photos, and schedules posts to TikTok. Its free plan gives daily credits with a watermark. Paid prices change with where the page is opened, so the price tracker prints them as Unverified.
The CapCut terms govern it, and CapCut may end the licence to its own templates and clips “at any time for any reason or no reason”. Support is the main user complaint, at 16 of 35 sources (Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
- Best for
- TikTok Shop and social sellers who want link-to-video, talking photos and digital avatars inside the CapCut family, with scheduling built in.
- Not for
- Brands wary of broad content licences: the CapCut terms that govern Pippit take a perpetual, sub-licensable licence to your content for running and developing the service, and use of your likeness to credit your content,
including for use in sponsored content
.
TikTok Symphony: avatar ads inside Ads Manager
TikTok Symphony builds avatar, product-avatar and dubbed ads inside TikTok’s own tools. TikTok’s pages state no price. And 9 of 18 user sources report using it with a daily credit allowance and downloads without a watermark (YouTube, YouTube).
Clips stop at 12 seconds and come out vertical only, by 4 of 18 user reports (YouTube, YouTube). The TikTok Symphony profile reads what TikTok publishes.
- Best for
- TikTok advertisers who want avatar, product-showcase or dubbed versions of ads inside TikTok’s own tools, where output is labelled as AI automatically.
- Not for
- Anyone who needs output without an AI label: TikTok labels Symphony content as AI-generated automatically.
Google Veo: 50 free Flow credits a day, with ad use unclear
Veo fits a buyer who wants a per-second API rate, the lowest in the cost table above. Google Veo is also sold inside invideo AI (pricing page). In Flow, every Google account gets 50 credits a day, and a Veo 3.1 Fast generation costs 20 (Flow help).
On Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month, a Fast clip of 4 to 8 seconds costs $0.40 if every monthly credit is used. Google’s terms say only that it “won’t claim ownership” of generated content, so free and paid ad use stay unclear. Moderation blocks ordinary work for 13 of 62 user sources (Reddit, Reddit).
- Best for
- Hero shots and B-roll up to 8 s with native audio, on a Google AI plan’s Flow credits or the Gemini API.
- Not for
- Single Veo clips longer than 8 s, or buyers who need an IP indemnity outside Google Cloud, whose Workspace entries on the list state no Veo scope.
Runway: the free plan whose terms allow ads
Runway pairs its own Gen-4.5 and Aleph editing with hosted Kling and Seedance. Its terms (4.4) say Runway “does not restrict your commercial use of your Outputs”, on Free too.
Free gives 125 one-time credits, and “All videos generated on a Free plan feature a Runway watermark” (help centre). Its terms (4.4) also let Runway train on your inputs and outputs. And 22 of 54 user sources report credits gone within one or two videos (Trustpilot, Trustpilot).
- Best for
- Teams that want Runway’s own models and Aleph video-to-video editing next to Kling and Seedance, with no commercial restriction on outputs.
- Not for
- Brands that cannot accept inputs and outputs being used to train Runway’s models, which the terms allow.
Left out, and why
FlexClip appears on the software directories that rank for “invideo alternatives”. It has no row in our database, so no checked price or clause can sit beside invideo’s here. AI video tools and product video tools list every tool we track.
