ChatGPT banner points to a business hub with mention counts
A banner seen in ChatGPT invites firms to claim their business, and one observer says the unreleased hub counts appearances and clicks.
Brands pay outside tools to guess how often ChatGPT names them, and a banner in ChatGPT points to a count from OpenAI itself. A banner carrying the words “Claim your business in ChatGPT” has surfaced, and Search Engine Roundtable likened the work on 6 November 2026 to Search Console, Google’s dashboard for site owners. OpenAI has not commented, The State of AI notes. The details come from Juozas Kaziukėnas, who posted a screenshot on LinkedIn.
He describes a daily chart of two counts: clicks through to a firm’s website, and the times the firm showed up in answers. The page sits inside a wider Business Hub. Access needs proof of ownership, such as a connected Shopify store, SEO Südwest adds. The banner’s other promises are a business agent that answers customers from material the firm controls, and a place to keep products and company details current.
What it leaves out matters as much. Kaziukėnas says the hub leaves out the questions people typed (prompts), so a chart that rises or falls gives no reason why, and it also omits user data and any comparison or ranking against rivals.
Our ChatGPT page records that consumer chats can train OpenAI’s models unless you opt out, under the 1 January 2026 terms we last read on 24 September. The hub’s own terms are not public.
Without prompts, the hub tells you that visibility moved and leaves the cause to outside tools that track prompts. Kaziukėnas says the pairing shows whether GEO work (optimising for AI answers) is paying off, with the hub supplying OpenAI’s own total.
