Google and its help page split on Gemini tools for Workspace

A bulletin says Workspace accounts are getting Gemini’s Business Profile link, while Google’s help page still rules out work accounts.

Small businesses can run their Google listing by chatting with Gemini, and Google says that now extends to work accounts. Its Small Business Bulletin of 5 November 2026 says access for Workspace, Google’s paid office suite for companies, is “rolling out now”, Search Engine Journal reports, and a Workspace admin has to switch on the Gemini app first.

Google’s own documentation has not caught up. The help page, read on 7 November, still asks for a personal Google Account and rules out work and school logins. The same page no longer lists the European Economic Area and the UK as excluded, a change Search Engine Journal traced against a 13 October copy. Availability now simply follows the Gemini web app’s own coverage.

Once connected, Gemini reports performance figures and the search keywords people use, sums up customer feedback, drafts review replies and posts, and changes hours and contact details. For businesses with chat set up, the same bulletin reports a Message button now sitting beside Call on Maps listings, on iOS and Android.

One limit stays in place. Anyone with access to more than one verified profile is shut out, and gemini.google.com is the only place the tools run.

The help page names no paid plan among its requirements. Our price sheet has Gemini at $0 on Free and $19.99 a month on Google AI Pro, our 6 November check.

The single-profile rule matters more than the account type. An agency or a chain with two verified listings stays locked out whether Workspace arrives or not, so this remains a tool for the one-location owner.
