What Amazon already gives you free

Not legal advice What these terms allow for a given ad is a question for a lawyer.

“Video Generator is a free tool provided by Amazon Ads, allowing you to create an unlimited number of videos at no additional cost”, Amazon’s guide says. Its videos are “specifically optimized for Sponsored Brands video ads” and can also go in Brand Stores. On 2 October 2026 the guide lists ten marketplaces, from the US to Japan.

The catch is in the Amazon Ads Additional Terms, last updated 11 September 2026. They license the generative tools “including the outputs from those tools, solely for your usage of Amazon products and services, such as marketing with Amazon Ads”.

The licence covers Amazon products and services only, so a clip is not licensed for Meta, TikTok or Google ads. The same terms list Amazon DSP among Amazon’s ad products, but whether DSP placements on third-party sites count is not stated. The clause also bars inputting personal data and making deepfakes, and offers outputs “on an as-is basis” (rights row).

Video Generator lives inside an Amazon Ads account, with no separate sign-up.

Amazon’s rules for AI-made ad creative

The Video Generator guide asks you to “ensure your content adheres to sponsored ads content guidelines for headlines and custom text”.

How this list was built

Method We read each tool’s pricing page and terms between 24 September and 2 October 2026, and Amazon’s guide and terms on 2 October. Clauses are quoted with their number and date, and user reports are counted per tool from public reviews (method).

Amazon placements use images as much as video, so the list covers both. The paid-ads column shows whether a plan’s terms let the output run off Amazon too.

Tools for Amazon video ads

Each turns a product page or photo into video; the product video hub compares the wider field.

Creatify: a published cost per 30 seconds

Creatify Starter lists $39 a month; a 30-second avatar video works out at $3.90 if every credit is used (Creatify pricing). Paid tiers license output “for business or personal use subject to the limitations and restrictions of the subscription tier” (terms 6.2).

15 of 61 sources say a product link becomes a batch of variations (G2 archive, r/PPC); 17 of 61 say outputs get product details wrong (Trustpilot, Trustpilot).

Best for
E-commerce teams making URL-to-video ads in volume who want an ad launcher for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin in the same tool.
Skip it if
you need a fixed monthly cost on the agent features: Creatify says their credit use cannot be known upfront.

Pippit turns a product link into an editable ad with scenes and voice-over. Its pricing page sets prices by region, and free output is watermarked. Company Content such as templates may be used commercially, subject to CapCut’s Materials License Agreement (terms s.9).

7 of 35 sources say voice and lip sync drift and hands warp (techpoint, MakeUseOf).

Best for
TikTok Shop and social sellers who want link-to-video, talking photos and digital avatars inside the CapCut family, with scheduling built in.

Best for
Teams that want product-link-to-video, product avatars and cheap generative clips under one subscription, especially on annual billing.
Skip it if
you sell supplements, medical devices or pharmaceuticals: those ads need Topview’s prior written approval.
