What can Claude make without a connector?

Claude writes everything around a video: the script, the hooks, the shot list and the prompts for a video model. Its one moving-picture feature is Claude Motion. Anthropic’s Motion article says it “doesn’t use a video generation model, so it doesn’t create realistic footage or people”.

Motion builds short animations as code from your text and charts, and exports them as MP4. It is in beta on Team and Enterprise plans. That suits an animated chart or a product walkthrough. It cannot put your product on a shelf in a real-looking kitchen.

What does an MCP connector add?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI assistant use another company’s tools. Picture a phone line to a specialist: the assistant plans the job, calls the video service and brings back the file.

That split means two bills. Your Claude or ChatGPT plan pays for the chat. The video service charges its own credits for the footage.

Claude’s help centre says “Free users are limited to one custom connector” (connector article). On Free, Creatify would fill that slot.

How to connect Creatify in ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor

Creatify’s MCP page lists ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Grok, Muse and Devin CLI, plus any agent that supports MCP. It gives the setup steps for each. You sign in with your Creatify account, and the page says “No API key, and the Free plan works too.”

A custom connector in Claude asks for an address. Creatify’s Claude page and its skill repository give https://api.creatify.ai/ad_agent/mcp.

How do I add Creatify to Claude? Click Add to Claude, then Connect and sign in. Or in Claude open Customize, Connectors, Add, Add custom connector, name it Creatify Ad Agent and paste https://api.creatify.ai/ad_agent/mcp.

Is it free? Any Creatify account can connect, including the Free plan. Generating shots, music and voice uses your credits.

Creatify’s Claude page recommends one more step. Download its skills from GitHub and upload them under Settings, Capabilities, Skills. A skill is a saved set of instructions, and these teach Claude how to plan and build an ad.

Nothing happening? Start a new chat. Creatify says “most agents load connectors when a chat starts”. In Claude, also open the + menu, then Connectors, and switch on Creatify Ad Agent.

One prompt from product photo to Meta ad

This request builds on the examples on Creatify’s page, with a spending guard added. It uses a product shot and no presenter.

The second line protects your credits. Creatify’s skill repository names a tool, composer_billing_state, that shows prices, your credit balance and whether takes carry a watermark. So you can see prices and your balance before any footage exists. The final total can still move, as the next section shows.

Creatify says a video takes “a few minutes”. The agent keeps working and posts the finished video in your chat.

Once one ad works, send a smaller job. Creatify’s “Hook multiplier” example asks for three versions and keeps “everything after the first 2 seconds identical”. A hook is the opening moment that stops the scroll, so you test one change at a time.

What does one ad cost in credits?

Creatify’s MCP page names no model, so the agent’s choice sets the bill. If it uses Seedance 2.0, three 5-second shots cost about $6.43 on Standard, before voice and music. Connector jobs spend “the same credits as the Creatify web app”, and the pricing page counts how many videos each plan buys.

The table divides each plan’s price by those counts, read 7 November 2026. Each figure assumes you use every credit, at 720p.

Standard lists $15 a month for 55 credits, and Pro $55 a month for 280. On these plans, unused credits lapse after two months.

Treat the table as a floor. Creatify’s credit article says the Agent uses a variable number of credits that cannot be set upfront. Users report the same thing. Credits go faster than the pricing suggests, because retries, failed renders and agent runs all bill (15 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Reddit).

The Free plan connects. Its 10 credits make up to 2 videos of 15 seconds or less in the app’s Video Ad and Avatar Video tools. Free takes carry a watermark.

Creatify’s Free plan article adds that “10 credits is not enough to complete a full video” with Ad Flow or Agent. Budget for Standard if you want an ad to run.

What the chat leaves to the Creatify app

Creatify’s MCP page covers making the ad. It names no launch to an ad account, no picker for AI actors and no timeline editor.

When another route fits better

Higgsfield connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible agents, with no API key. In Claude, add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp. In ChatGPT, add the Higgsfield Plugin from the Plugins Directory. In Cursor, add Higgsfield from the marketplace. In Claude Code, OpenClaw, and Hermes, the agent installs the Higgsfield CLI. An active paid subscription is required.

What do I need before connecting? An active Higgsfield subscription and an account in the AI agent: Claude (claude.ai or Claude Desktop), ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client. No API key or additional setup is needed.

Creatify suits the opposite job: one request that comes back as a whole ad, with voice, music and captions in place.

Check every take before it runs. Users of Creatify report lip sync that does not match, faces that change mid-shot and wrong product details (17 of 61 sources: Trustpilot, Reddit).

Questions about video ads in ChatGPT and Claude

Does Claude have video generation?

No. Claude has no video model. Claude Motion animates text and charts as code, and a connector to a service such as Creatify adds real footage.

Can ChatGPT make video ads?

Yes, through a connector. Install the Creatify Ad Agent app in ChatGPT, sign in and ask for an ad. OpenAI’s own Sora app closed on 26 April 2026.

Is the Creatify MCP free?

Connecting is free on any Creatify account. Generating shots, music and voice spends your credits, the same ones the web app uses.

Which Creatify plan includes the MCP?

Any plan. The MCP page says any account can connect, and the pricing page ties the connector to no plan.

Does the Creatify MCP need an API key?
