What Instantly is

Instantly is a cold email sender. Cold email means writing to business contacts who never signed up to hear from you, usually to book a sales call. That sets it apart from Kit or Mailchimp, which send newsletters to people who opted in.

You connect your own mailboxes, or buy ready-made ones, and Instantly spreads a sequence across them. Warm-up runs in the background: the tool trades emails between mailboxes so inbox providers learn to trust a new address.

The account count never changes the price. Every Outreach plan allows unlimited email accounts and unlimited warm-up (pricing fact sheet). What you pay for is contacts uploaded and emails sent.

The AI email marketing hub sets Instantly beside the other 14 email tools we track.

What Instantly costs at your list size

Each Outreach plan caps two numbers: uploaded contacts and emails a month. A 500 list fits Growth; 2,500 and 10,000 both need Hypergrowth.

Growth stops at 1,000 contacts. Hypergrowth costs $107 a month and holds 25,000. At 50,000 the plan cards point to Light Speed at $358 a month.

Instantly's pricing page with monthly billing: Growth at $47 a month with 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails, Hypergrowth at $97 with 25,000 contacts and 125,000 emails, Light Speed at $358, Enterprise custom

Hypergrowth plus the Outreach add-on (25,000 more contacts for $87 a month) reaches 50,000 for $194, about half as much (pricing fact sheet).

There is no overage fee. Pass either cap and you move up a plan (pricing fact sheet).

The fact sheet does not say whether “uploaded contacts” is a stored total or a monthly flow, or whether deleting contacts frees room. Ask support before you plan a 50,000-contact campaign around it. The Instantly pricing page prices the yearly rate, the add-on route and the bundles.

Which Instantly plan has the AI features

Instantly sells AI in two places, and only one of them sits inside the sending plan.

The first place is Outreach itself. Growth lists the AI Sequence Writer and an AI Spam Words Checker, which flags words that push email into spam. Hypergrowth adds the Deliverability AI Agent (pricing fact sheet).

The second is Instantly Credits, a separate subscription. It pays for Lead Finder, the search in Instantly’s B2B lead database (pricing fact sheet).

Instantly's Lead Finder as its homepage shows it: a filter panel for job titles, location, industry, keywords, employees and revenue beside an AI Search box that reads 'Start Your Search With Instantly AI'

The AI Email Writer Agent, the AI Sales Agent and the AI Reply Agent also draw on Credits. The Sales Agent costs 5 credits per lead generated and the Reply Agent 5 credits per reply.

Credits Growth gives 1,500 credits a month, so 300 AI replies use the whole allowance. On monthly plans, unused credits expire 2 months after you buy them.

One clause matters before you let an agent send. Terms 4.3(b) make you the sole sender of messages the AI tools create, including messages sent without human review.

Does Instantly train AI on your contacts

The terms do not say. No clause says Instantly trains its own models on your data, and none rules out training by the model providers behind its AI tools.

The pricing page names those providers as “OpenAI, Anthropic & more”. Clause 4.3 of the terms (23 October 2026) leaves their handling of your inputs and outputs, training included, outside Instantly’s responsibility.

Terms of Service, 4.3

Instantly is not responsible for the Third-Party Services’ handling of your Inputs or Outputs, including for use in their model training.

Instantly’s terms, clause 4.3. Instantly, Terms of Service, 4.3,

Clause 6.3(b) adds a perpetual, irrevocable licence over de-identified, aggregated data. Instantly may use it to improve the service and build features such as deliverability and lead-quality tools.

The same terms carry a trap for agencies that share results. Clause 1.4 defines Data Resale Activity to include “publishing” data obtained through the service, “including Outputs, Performance Data”. Clause 4.10 calls any actual or attempted Data Resale Activity a material breach that cannot be cured.

A public case study quoting your Instantly reply rates fits those words. The AI-training guide sets Instantly’s clauses beside the other 14 tools.

Deliverability and the contact traps

Deliverability is whether your email lands in the inbox. Instantly builds its plans around it: warm-up on every plan, the Deliverability AI Agent on Hypergrowth, and SISR on Light Speed. SISR is Instantly’s name for a dedicated or private server with IP rotation, so other senders’ habits do not drag down your reputation.

Instantly also sells ready-made Google accounts at $5 a month ($10 pre-warmed) and domains at $15 a year (pricing fact sheet). Those sit outside the Outreach price.

Warm-up and sending complaints appear in 3 of 17 sources (Trustpilot, Trustpilot). One buyer says a domain bought through Instantly sits in an account they cannot open.

A commenter on r/coldemail runs both Instantly and Smartlead. They say inbox placement is much the same once DNS records, warm-up and lists are clean (Reddit). Another in the same thread burned domains by mailing an old list.

Instantly’s recent reviews centre on billing disputes and the redesign

We read 17 public reviews dated 7 May to 29 October 2026. Fourteen are the most recent Trustpilot reviews, two are Reddit threads and one is G2’s archived summary page.

Across all 1,179 Trustpilot reviews, 66% are five-star (Trustpilot), and G2’s archived page counts 4,161 reviews (G2). The latest Trustpilot reviews are almost all one or two stars, so they say more about late 2026 than about the long run.

Billing leads the complaints. Cancellation, refund and double-charge disputes appear in 5 of 17 sources (Trustpilot, Trustpilot). One reviewer writes that support refused to cancel “again and again”.

The late-2026 redesign comes next (4 of 17 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot). Upselling follows (2 of 17 sources: Trustpilot, Trustpilot).

People who received cold email sent through Instantly call it a spam tool in 3 of 17 sources (Trustpilot, Trustpilot). Those reviews come from people on the receiving end of the email.

On Reddit the picture turns. Solo senders and small agencies call Instantly the easier tool, with domain set-up and sending in one place (2 of 17 sources: Reddit, Reddit).
